We had an oceanfront delux room, right on the water front with a beautiful view across the bay, the causeway and airportlooked great at night too. The hotel is intimate and has a tropical escape feel to it. There are lots of activities to do on site; sailing, kayaking, renting motor boats, scuba diving, paddle boarding. There are two spectacular underground caves, one you can have spa treatments in and the other you can swim in. We thought the beachside grill food was good and enjoyed lots of poolside cocktails. We had breakfast and ordered room service, happy with both. Highly recommend this happy, fun, great value little hotel.

I want to take a moment to say thank you to ALL staff for another wonderful stay at Grotto Bay Beach Resort July 1-6, 2021. And a bigger thank you to Manager, JP Marten. Three best friends from Delaware had an awesome time enjoying the resort to the fullest. Our ocean front superior room was comfortable and well taken care of by our meticulous housekeeper Tanya Usher. The location was perfect for us. We did take advantage of the golf cart rides and shuttles to the top of the hill and even to the Swizzle Inn for my friend’s birthday celebration. We would like to recognize several staff members who were outstanding in making our vacation fantastic. Winston at the main bar was welcoming and accommodating to our every request. Victor and Duane at the pool bar were fantastic bartenders. Our meals on the all-inclusive plan were all delicious for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Casmin and Jeff both took care of us a few times and were outstanding servers. We enjoyed the water sports when the winds calmed down and Deklin from the water sports area was knowledgeable and helpful. Kayaking and snorkeling were fun. We were able to go to see some of the gem locations on Bermuda including Horseshoe Bay Beach, Sea Glass Beach and Dockyard using taxis as well as buses and ferry’s. I was happy to share with my friends as this was my 4th time vacationing in Bermuda and the second time staying at Grotto Bay Beach Resort. We only wished we had one more day to explore. We do hope to return maybe bringing some more friends to experience one of my favorite islands. Don’t hesitate to book this resort. It’s the best hotel on the island offering an all inclusive option that is worth every penny.

This trip was beyond my expectations. My husband and I stayed at the Grotto Bay Beach Resort in 2015 and loved it. We tried to return with college friends and our daughter in 2020 and the pandemic thwarted our plans. We rebooked for July 2021 and loved every minute of our trip. It was worth the wait to get back to Bermuda. The hotel staff were amazing and the guest themselves were friendly. Last time there were business travelers and guests from Europe. This time, there were many young families, enjoying their vacations. The waitstaff in the restaurants were friendly and accommodating, including Lensley, Wilfredo, Cosmin, Shauvin, Will, Veronica and others whom I did not catch their names, We enjoyed chatting with other guests during meals and excursions. The bus trips were the best. Friendly local residents who always tried to lend a hand with navigation. It's not like SEPTA! Bermuda, we love you. Can't wait to come back again. Thank you <3

My husband and I first visited Grotto Bay back in 2018 and it was a phenomenal experience. fast-forward 3 years later, we now have a 2 year old and decided to visit Grotto Bay once more since it was very kid-friendly during our first stay. The staff is amazingly friendly (with the exception of the concierge), and the waiters were great at catering to my toddler, playing with her, they even remembered her name! By the end of our visit, the entire dining at staff and more than half of the guests all knew my daughter name! She had a wonderful experience! Now, for the negative... On our first morning there, we woke up to a giant roach in the room that my daughter almost stepped on. It was beyond disgusting and I have pictures as proof. I called the front desk, and they did nothing. Apparently that’s normal in Bermuda. I’m sorry, but there is nothing normal about a cockroach in my room. That’s just disgusting. I let it go, and decided to just enjoy the rest of our trip. The next day, we went to the beach and after coming back to our room and showering, my daughter was running around, as kids typically do, and decided to then climb on the bed. That’s when I noticed that the bottom of her feet were black. I then decided to look at mine, and they were also black. It’s impossible as we had just showered!!! I called the front desk again to complain, and of course, they could only offer housekeeping. FINE. I decided to stick around this time and see how housecleaning was actually cleaning our room… THEY DID NOT, AND DO NOT CLEAN THE FLOORS! They did nothing with the exception of a quick sweep by the front door/sweep the front door mat. That was it! It was unbearably disgusting. We walked around with shoes on, God, I almost slept with my shoes on!! BUT, being that our trip was only 5 days, I figured we might as well make the most of it, since this resort clearly does not care to satisfy their guests. Lastly, at check out, they decided to inflate my fee, and think I wouldn’t realize it. We opted into their all inclusive plan, which was $114/pp and free for children under 4. My daughter is 2. My reservation was a vacation package with delta, so they had my daughter’s passport on file, and yet they still decided to charge me, and refuse to make changes. I went through hell just to find my original itinerary, but the girl at the front desk was set on explaining to me why I was being charged the fee, instead of fixing it! It was pouring, I have a 2YO, we had to carry our own luggage’s up a God-damn mountain-like hill because this same employee put us on a “waiting list” for baggage pick-up. I can honestly think that the only reason I was mistreated and not taken seriously was because of my surname. I’m pretty certain race plays a card here, but I won’t go into details. Overall, keep your expectations very low, and avoid traveling here during COVID. If you don’t care much about cleanliness, and/or don’t have kids, then this place is perfect for you.

Quick get away for 5 nights and it was great! From check in to check out there were no complaints. Did the All Inclusive and it didn’t disappoint. All of the staff are attentive, respectful, accommodating, and fun to interact with. Special shout out to Wendell (Concierge),Ray and his crew (Luivi,Cosmin,Jeff, and the entire staff) at the restaurants, Winston and Stretch at the Bars were excellent, and Dawn who cleaned our room everyday. They all combined to make it a great vacation. Been here 4 times in the last 3 years and will continue to be a repeat visitor.
