While visiting family in Ciego de Avila we stayed two nights at this hotel. We had three rooms. Our room was full of mold. My daughter's room had issues with hot water for the shower. Breakfast was included but it was pretty poor and the coffee was terrible. The staff was inconsistent as far as helpfulness and attitude, some trying...

I read other reviews before heading out, and I'm guessing the hotel has had a facelift recently. Not luxurious by any means but very comparable to mid priced European hotels. The rooms were well cleaned daily and the housekeeper would even launder your clothes if you asked. The Lobby bar was open 24Hr. with 1 CUP beers and 1.5 CUP...

We stayed here for 12 nights as part of a volunteer vacation. The staff were accommodating, respectful and helpful, although there was little English spoken - really our problem as we speak little Spanish. The rooms were spacious although in need of refurbishing. We had working AC, but there were no knobs to adjust the temperature. There are three bars...

We stayed here for one night. The room was very basic. The old air conditioner did not work. The lights were mouldy. Did have a working TV though. Have given it two based on the restaurant which was actually quite nice. The food was good and the staff were nice. We stayed as long as we could so we didn't...

This is a very clean tourist quality hotel in Ciego. The AC works very well , the pool is big an clean and there are a variety of bars about the place. It can get loud, techno music at the pool from 11 am thru dinner, and a big disco that is popular on the weekends, but the staff is...

There is not much alternative to stay in this beautiful country town. Hotel is run by the state. Breakfast was terrible, coffee was like break fluid, service was not there. Eventhough breakfast was included in price we had to go first floor to buy expresso coffee. Attendant at the bar for expresso coffee was excellent. He was in his 50s...

Stayed here for a week at beginning of Feb. First impression was good, nice open and tidy Reception/Lounge and easy quick check in. Room is quite big, shower room is adequate but dated and shower is more of a sprinkle. Aircon worked very well. Maid did keep the room clean and tidy, thanks. Bed was comfortable and enough storage space...

These were the 1st words uttered by my travelling partner when we entered to check-in. He was clearly correct, it seems to be a hotel the locals book for their rich foreign partners to stay for a week or 2. Needless to say many guests are older men/women with much younger local partners. This is the only place where I...
