Stunning location on a bluff amidst the vineyards a few miles outside of Colmar. Ancient chateau that's part of a small chain of family-owned similar properties. Fine restaurant, free spa (small pools indoors and out), family-friendly. Exceptionally attentive staff. We had a large, pleasant room with a decent bed and nice bath. The linens were a bit tired but the...

We has a wonderful Chateau stay in December, where the entire property was decorated for the holidays. The facility is georgeous and very comfortable - you truly feel that you're staying in a castle. I can't say enough about the staff! For starters, I take it that the room that I booked wasn't intended for 4 people (two adults and...

I visited the hotel on a recent business trip and was very pleasantly surprised. Rouffach is a quiet little town in the southern region of the tourist area of Alsace and right on the German border. It has a small but very pretty town center with a couple of restaurants, some bars and the obligatory wine shops. The service at...

Chateau d'Isenbourg was such a wonderful Hotel. After a full day of trains and cities, it was a welcome sight away from the hustle and bustle. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Colmar, Kayserberg, Strasbourg, or any city in the Alsace Region of France. It is an amazing Region to visit. We plan to return for the Christmas...

After a full day biking through Alcase, it was a pleassure staying here. The outdoor pool is perfect - cool, clean, and nice sized. The lawn in the back of the hotel surrounds a few big trees and a fountain. We camped out there and drank champagne enjoying the sunset over the neighboring vineyards. Quite the grounds. The rooms were...

My wife, 14 year old son and I spent three agreeable evenings at the Chateau d’Isenbourg in June 2011. I recommend the hotel, with some cautions. We had the hotel’s suite. It is made up of two bedrooms, a living room, and long hallway with closets and storage space, a bathroom (2 sinks, a bathtub and a shower) and a...

A good base to explore the region. Overall a good stay, but the bathrooms are dated, walls/doors are thin, and the pool was tiny. The spa was closed on the day we were there, but we had a look around, and 'spa' is a bit of an exaggeration as it consists of a couple of treatment rooms at the bottom...

We really enjoyed our stay here. It was extremely cold and snow everywhere, so I don't think we really saw the beauty of this place and the surroundings. I think to stay here when everything and the wine lands are green, will be beautiful!! we got an upgrade to a better room. The rooms inside was very nice. and the...

We stayed here for two nights in September for our stay in the Alsace region. At checkin there was an issue, but the hotel did resolve it. quickly. Our room was just a basic room, not in the chateau itself. It was an OK room, nothing special. I would recommend for anyone staying here to get a better room in...

The Chateau D'Isembourg is a lovely residence in beautiful grounds, surrounded by vineyards. Even though it is well faded out and in great need of refurbishment it is still a pleasant experiance. We dinned at the restaurant Tommeries and enjoyed it very much, with the open varanda and the beautiful moon to high light our evening. The Chateau produces it's...
