We were looking for a short stay over for our trip to Switserland. We used to sleep in one of the brands at the highway, but this year we searched the web for something else. And we were very positively surprised. A small hotel, right next to the ancient city centre of Selestat and just a few yards from the big community playground.
We were welcomed with a warm hospitality and we decided to join the evening meal for a traditional dinner from Selestat.
A place to remmer.

This apartment was the most pleasant one during our stay in France. The host showed great hospitality to guests, and ardently helped us solve problems we had. The room was nice and clean. Stay with this apartment left us nothing but extremely wonderful memories.

We had a lovely stay. Jacky and his family are very warm and welcoming, and the Tuesday night baeckeoff dinner was delicious. We enjoyed the use of the bicycles to navigate the many dedicated bike oaths around Selestat, and the town itself is beautiful and fun to discover.

This place is really cute. We were 3 friends travelling together and we had a good size room on the ground floor. It was clean and decorated in such a nice way, lots of nice little touches around the room. The location is quiet and good for parking on the street right outside. Selestat is a nice little town and a great base for exploring the Alsace region. The owners emailed us once we had made our booking to welcome us and we asked them for some restaurant recomendations which we were able to book in advance - which is advisable. They were very friendly and welcoming and the breakfast was lovely.

A wonderfully helpful & friendly young couple. The location was ideal for our needs as it was an easy walk into the beautiful centre of the town, with parking outside in the street; it was a quiet location. A tea & coffee making service was available in the room. Breakfast was enjoyable with a more traditional approach, rather than offering any flair. The room was simply furnished but neither as clean as we would expect for the price nor well finished; this was a shame as there is so much potential available.

It couldn't have been better. A large room with a huge window, a comfortable bed and a good shower, etc, an excellent breakfast downstairs (especially the big French cup of cafe au lait), and exceptionally friendly, helpful owners. Their advice on where to eat was invaluable.

The Domaine des Remparts is on a quiet road next to Vauban's ancient ramparts, a very short walk from all the restaurants, etc. I'd very much like to go back to Selestat, which I liked a lot. If I do I hope to stay at the Domaine des Remparts again.

We stayed in the annex of this hotel for a stop-over, in a three-floor historic house - beware that the stairs can be difficult for some. The charming house has a small sitting room (1st fl), well equipped kitchen (ground fl) and three bedrooms, one of which is accessed though another. Guests can use the breakfast and dinner facilities at the main building around the corner, which is also charming. The owner was very friendly and helpful. The location is steps away from the very nice historic center of town with lots of restaurants. Free street parking around.

The room was booked for an overnight stay on route to Italy. We arrived late but Jacky the host was extremely welcoming and recommended some great local restaurants for an evening meal and places to see in the old town. We went to Cafe Troc and it was great. The rooms are warm, spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was fantastic- typically French with some amazing home made jams and lovely local cheeses. Cannot recommend this place highly enough, whether it’s for an overnight stop or for a few days to explore Selestat and the surrounding area.
