Everything about this place is simply delightful. The rooms are charming and peaceful and the setting is really lovely with walks into the woods. The food is really fabulous. And the wine list gives you full choice of local value up to expensive indulgence. Really impressed when we asked the sommelier for a recommendation that he guided us to the...

We spent a night at this beautiful rural hotel before taking a plane from Bergerac to the U.K. The welcome was excellent, our room was nicely decorated and very comfortable. The outdoor pool is big and refreshing in August, and we met a delightful couple from Holland there, with whom we had dinner. We chose to have dinner on the...

Stayed one night at half board. Grounds and pool were great, although in early October the "heated" pool was not. Our charming room was smaller, but well appointed with nice tub and lots of hot water. Pre-dinner aperitives came with delicious hors d'oeuvres and dinner was good and well served. Breakfast was substantial with everything you one could want from...

After an incredible drive trying to find this place near the river and out in the countryside, and just when you think you are lost, appears a sign directing you to the former farm. We graciously met by someone who welcomed us and took our bags. Absolutely everyone that works there is an asset to you enjoying your stay. Especially the...

Lovely house in a beautiful place in the south of France, near the Dordogne valley. A perfect combination of cozy rooms and excellent meals. The location is like in the middle to visit the Dordogne small towns and the vineyards near Bordeaux. We loved the place!

The set evening menu was first class. Superb cepes soup followed by 4 course with sensible portion sizes that balanced quantity with presentation. The menu choice in this area seems to be variations of duck but the fois gras was delicious and magret de canard to follow was thinly slices and did not dominate the plate. Discrete and attentive service...

I think this hotel captures the whole relaxing feel and vibe of the region perfectly. service is detailed and personal, not intrusive, but enthusiastic - nothing appears to be too much trouble. The pool facility is excellent, the breakfast is delightful, the room was lovely, the grounds are perfectly kept, the staff (all of them) are really lovely, and the...

We stayed at La Metairie for a week. First the good points: The location is very rural and quiet, and is ideally placed for exploring the delights of the Dordogne valley. The staff were excellent. They were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was very clean, and the grounds were immaculate. The food was generally good. Our only reservation would...
