This hotel was created from a chateau, so there are a lot of stairs to navigate, but if that's no problem, it's quite a charming place to stay. (Staff will carry bags to your room). Unless it's raining, the excellent dinner is served in the...More

Dear chopsgma, We are pleased to read your review. Indeed we have been severely hidden by the heavy rain on monday, but we'll be ready to reopen mid April 2019. Yours sincerely. Isabelle & Vincent Nourrisson

The hotel was, overall, quite impressive with its four "turrets" from days of old. However, getting to our upstairs room required hiking up 60 stairs. The room itself, while comfortable and quiet, was quite small. The nearby "town" didn't offer much in the way of...More

Two nights for two couples, including one restaurant meal. Sumptuous rooms with all facilities - special touch of honey soap! Brilliant welcome and care: the owner took our friend, in his wet swimming shorts, in her Merc, to buy some painkillers from the chemist and...More

About
Description
An imposing castle with a striking silhouette; a square building that opens into a courtyard, set in a lovely garden through which the river Aude flows. Built on the land of the Cathars, the castle bears the More stamp of a place steeped in history. In the bedrooms of this 16th century listed building, a medieval atmosphere and modern comforts are skilfully combined. The same clever recipe works its magic in the reception rooms, the old chapel converted into a lounge and the dining rooms. Less
