All of the people that work at this hotel are THE BEST!!! Very warm, genuine, helpful and just really nice people. One a 1-10 scale, they rate a million!!!

The rooms are not huge, but large enough, spotless and nice. Good shower and bathroom and great bed that you can adjust with buttons on a remote.

Pretty great breakfast too...So many great things about this wonderful hotel!!!

Awesome neighbourhood in a really nice town. great place to stroll around. Having a car if you are staying here, however is a huge benefit. Lots of great places to drive to if you happen to enjoy amazing scenery.

Would I return? Well..I have already booked my next stay here in 6 weeks time and can't wait !!!!

Just had 5 nights at this hotel. It is our third visit and really is a treat to stay. A warm welcome, on site parking, quiet room with comfortable bed for a good nights sleep and a quality breakfast make it a real haven. Will be back !

Absolutely wrapped with this hotel. Brand new, tastefully and expensively decorated in rustic but modern style. Cleverly provides parking in a revolving lift style like in Japan. Room is comfortable and quiet, could provide different styles of pillows as down pillows really are too flat. Brekkie was perfect, eggs made to order and buffet style, incl smoked salmon. Staff were very nice and accommodating. I cannot fault this place at all, it was a pleasure staying here.

A wonderful family run establishment with room to move in these modern rooms. The head and foot of the beds even slant up or down. Breakfast included and eggs and bacon made to order right on the spot so they are always warm. Homemade jam, bread and pastries, daily for breakfast. Lovely view of castle from the sauna area of the top floor. We sat in lounge chairs that were there and enjoyed drinks while watching the sun set. Entrance is at the back off the alley as is the parking. A great place to stay!

I stayed here as part of a tour group on a two week trip through Germany. This was a fantastic place to stay... Perfect location, nice rooms; comfortable bed, clean, nice shower and amenities. No A/C but I appreciate this because you can open the windows and the weather was mild. Very nice attached restaurant and bar. We had dinner here and breakfast on two mornings, all excellent! I highly recommend and hope to stay here again!! Everything is only a couple of blocks away. Waldkirch is a quite and lovely town.

This is a fun place. You enter off an alley into a very modern garage. Nice paving and back lit murals. The cars are stored in a large scale vending machine type contraption. The folks that run the place are lively, polite, and very helpful. The lobby is very small and decent, but the rest of the place is roomy and very nice. Our room was newly built and had many features, like a hospital type movable bed and a frosted window from the room into the bathroom so one didn't have to turn on the lights. This saves energy. The breakfast was delicious with a service person to help that made it feel more like being in a manor house rather than a restaurant. All in all what a delightful surprise in this little black forest town.

We were there for 1 night on our road to Tuscany (my 2 teenager sons, my 5y old daughter, my wife and me). Very nice room, stylish bathroom, excellent German breakfast with charming service of Lady in duty that day. And above all, most important, the fantastic welcome and service and the Owner Lady. No hesitation to recommend the place warmly and get back our selves again at next occasion.

We stayed for one night in this stylish, independent run hotel. Contemporary design and excellent facilities. Beds fully adjustable and rain shower in a smart en suite. Perfect. Very friendly staff, english spoken without fuss. Excellent wifi. A very easy stay over in a pretty town. We had dinner in the restaurant which was delicious. Highly skilled chef/owner made our mixed tourist/vege/local group very happy. Local specialities prepared with a contemporary twist. Lovely waiting staff who were happy to help.
All in all, this was a great place to stay, highly Recommended, and that is before you get to the green credentials and slow food ethos.

Is there a charge for street parking outside the hotel?
Answer from Catherine L
Kildare, Ireland499 contributions169 helpful votes
Hotel has free parking, that's what we did. I presume street parking comes at a cost, but I honestly don't know what the rates are, as we never parked there. You'll love this wonderful hotel. Wish I was going back! Enjoy the experience!
