We stumbled upon this option and never looked away. The photos led us to believe it was in a more populated area. The innkeeper spoke little to NO English but proved to be kind, welcoming, and very helpful. We struggled with check in after hours, we couldn't even get the key out of the box! A regular helped us and...

The location is about a ten minute walk from the station over a cobbled sidewalk (think about a taxi if you have much luggage) and a fifteen minute walk to the historic centre. I was met by the owner at the reception and was given without any prompting a very thorough run down of all the sights and suggestions for...

Best thing was the buffet breakfast. The hotel itself is a bit sad in appearance, especially when you have a (small) single room. But for the price it is reasonable. From the outside the building looks much better than from the inside. Friendly people receive you. It's nothing special, but it's not bad either. City center 10 minutes walking.

We stayed one night at this guesthouse, which, to be honest, has seen better days. Its a beautiful building but it does need some major refurbishments. The rooms are very basic and pretty tatty. But the brewakfast was very pleasant and the owners were extremely helpful and friendly. So as long as you dont expect too much, you wont be...

The only things I could mention are the proximity of the Goerlitz railway station (1 km) and nice breakfast. All the other amenities of the hotel are rather regular. I would even prefer name the hotel as two star, but not three as they declare.

Stayed here for a week in March. Only had breakfast on the last day but it was very good (had it included). The guy at reception (the owner?) was very nice and helpful. I asked for some tea and he gave me a thermos with hot water and cups, and refilled as many times as I asked. Mind you, this...

The Lisakowski is a small hotel about 10 minutes walk from the city centre. It is a no frills hotel with friendly staff. The rooms are basic but large and clean. Parking is available on the street but the hotel also has parking spaces just up the road. Hotel is fine but when I booked it I thought it was...

We spent three nights at the Lisakowski in June. We were touring Germany by car. We liked the guest house - the only drawback was the location. Here are the ups and downs as we saw them. Four positives: 1. The Lisakowski had the best breakfast bar of any comparably priced place we stayed. Yogurt, boiled eggs, granola, bread, cheese,...

While it is by no means fancy, this hotel is a great value for the money. The owner/manager serves you your morning coffee at the breakfast buffet every morning and was most accomodating. Although it might have been more convenient to be closer to the city center, this hotel is but a short walk to the train station and more...
