I find myself at the Riu Palace again. Given a room higher up than I've stayed before (3rd floor) overlooking the garden side of the hotel (the best side - the other side overlooks the bigger of the two pools). Going that extra floor or two up gives you a view over the palm trees in gardens to the Maspalomas...

Great hotel and a nice view towards the sea with the mini desert between. The place is missing a a la carte restaurant in the evening. They only have buffet with two seatings, which for me is an awfull concept. Breakfast is great and the lunch by the pool is soso. The area outside the hotel is awfull. There are...

Going back again in February after only been there in October Nothing changes, just like going back to see an old friend Yes, rooms could now do with a little upgrade but it certainly would not suit a modern feel, the hotel is colonial style and majestic, a sympathetic refurb would need careful thinking. It is amazing that no matter...

This hotel is one of the loveliest hotels in which we have stayed and we have been to a some good ones. If this hotel had a spa, I would give it 5 stars all the way. Every area in the hotel is spotlessly clean, the food is fabulous, healthy and varied. There is a relaxed atmosphere and staff are...

Just returned to the cold and wet of Scotland after a lovely week at the Riu Palace. We were very impressed with the hotel and would thoroughly recommend. Our room was on the second floor and was West facing to the sand dunes ,so no sun till late afternoon but no great problem as we were out and about all...

A lovely hotel, beautiful manicured grounds, spotlessly clean, the staff were all lovely, we had a superb room, we were blessed with fourteen days of glorious sunshine, the food was good, my only gripe would be that the food was not very hot and like all buffet service by the time you had sat down it was stone cold, the...

We were for two weeks here and were absolutely happy about everything. We stayed in different hotels of different concepts but this absolutely traditional hotel is the place where we want to return again and again. ...As soon as we arrived to the hotel, we were surprised by the upgraded (no additional costs) family room (2 adults and one 13-years-old-child)...

First time staying at the Riu brand and whilst the hotel is a little dated it's very well appointed, maintained and run. Staff super efficient and bar staff in particular work hard to ensure your drink arrives promptly (and in a large measure to boot!). We chose a Thompson half board package and arrived New Year's Eve. The hotel dinner...

This is a good quality hotel with beautiful views towards the dunes and the ocean. The rooms are of good size but air conditioning was centrally controlled and was not available at night. We had to use the celling fan. The rooms were cleaned well, but always in the afternoon, which was not convenient. The restaurant was very beautiful in...
