Me and my Fiancé stayed in this hotel for our 3rd anniversary and I am very happy with the experience! The Faust is thriving under new management the staff was very kind and helpful and the vibe was elegant and charming, the location of the hotel just doesn’t get better it’s right across the street from some amazing shops, bakeries, and coffee shops. The beds were very comfy and clean and we slept like babies! Also weirdly enough the hotel soap smelled nice and was definitely not your average hotel soap. Though I did have to give 4 stars because the restaurant down stairs is closed and under construction. As a designer here are some tips to elevate the stay for guests. Adding robes, glasses, and water bottles in the rooms as you have to go all the way to the lobby to get a glass of water. As well as adding some Edison lightbulbs in the bathrooms that will make the lights less fluorescent and add to the historic charm of the building. All in all great stay 100% would stay again.

We stayed here as part of our girls weekend not really knowing what to expect after reading mixed reviews. The hotel has great, historic charm. If you are looking for a holiday inn or Hilton, this is the wrong hotel. But what it lacks in amenities, it gains in charm. From the historic fans in reception, to the old tile floors, and the quaint elevator. This is not your run of the mill La Quinta, but it is great for a unique stay.

Have been staying here for over 35 years, whenever we visit NB. Enjoyed our recent 2-night, 2 room stay. Rooms were comfy, including the beds, pillows & linens. Staff was super friendly & helpful (in the Pub, also). Historic Hotel that is super well located w/easy parking & an on-site Pub. Yes it’s age shows here & there, but it’s charm makes up for it.

I booked months ago a room with 2 double beds, was charged the rate for that room $209. After driving 3 hours to get here and spending all day at the water park we were told that the only room they have is a single bed room. The young lady at the front desk was rude and could have cared less that she put us out. She gave numerous excuses, new computer system, new ownership, she didn’t know if maybe I booked it wrong! I asked who’s fault it was and she said she didn’t know, I asked why she wouldn’t take ownership and she said “what do you want me to do”? I said at least apologize and say you overbooked and not give me a million excuses, I said I will leave a not so nice review and she didn’t care. This place needs some help, what is a paying customer supposed to do, should I have called before driving to make sure they had it right? I am honestly confused of what I did wrong. My advice don’t risk it and stay somewhere else.

I can only review the bar and restaurant. I'm in complete shock after we had our food and drinks I had to ask what has changed here because something has we were gravely disappointed. Well of course there's new ownership. My drink looks like something in miniature land is 3 in wide and they no longer have their signature beer juice soup which is very disappointing since it's a German restaurant. I'm just blown away everything's just set a lower par

The Faust exudes history and charm, and the location is excellent for walking around downtown as well as convenient to local attractions. The staff was also friendly and attentive. All went well and the room was comfortable, as expected. Another pleasant stay and I look forward to next time!

If I could give 10 stars for service I would. The customer service I received during my stay was incredible, and something you would never expect to see at any chain hotel. The staff could not do enough for me and I'm incredibly grateful to them.

The room was also really clean and nice, for a reasonable price, and near plenty of things to do. Parking was also not an issue, there is a massive free public car park 1 minute walk away if their back yard is full.

Christie Dixon, Michelle, and Mr. Kenny were amazing. They offered us food options, directions and information of local sights, and provided excellent service when needed. The property was extremely clean, and the historical hotel and the wonderful staff exceeded our expectations and we will recommend this hotel to our friends and family.

Love the way the owners have maintained the historical legacy while making it a place all ages can enjoy. The Magnolia patio was a great place to meet and greet family and friends. Eric in the patio and wherever he is needs, was over the top. Great personality and he truly cares about customer service. Dave I food service is doing great small bites on the patio and I know he is anxious for the dining room remodel to be completed. It will be awesome. The hotel is close to everything so make plans now to have fun!??

My wife and newborn stayed two nights and really enjoyed the visit. To be a small local owned business they’re doing a lot with what they have here. Restaurant and brewery had great beer and food, beds were comfy, room was clean. Not all the modern amenities one may be used to but if you’re looking for a different type of hotel experience this is the place. Very conveniently located to all kinds of shops and restaurants in downtown.
