Traveler beware! If you are planning on using the pool - do NOT book here. They only allow one family at a time for 1 hour, and you have to book your "pool time". This information is not disclosed during booking (not on website, not in the booking email, not over the phone). I called the hotel before booking and asked if the pool was open, and they said that the pool was open. Not a word about pool being "by appointment only". I would have never booked this hotel if I they had disclosed their pool policy. Imagine that: you show up on Friday night, and you promised your kids to go to the pool, your kids are all excited and in their bathing suits, you try to get in the pool area, but the door is locked. You go to the front desk to ask them to open the pool area door, and then you are told that the pool is by appointment only (one hour per family), and Friday night is already fully booked. Now imagine how you explain that to your kids. The hotel claims that they have this policy because of covid, but for some reason this rule is for pool only. The breakfast area is packed in the morning, and most of people don't wear masks, and no one cares. The gym is wide open too at all times. By their logic, covid can't spread in the breakfast area or a gym, but only in the pool. Whoever invented this "pool policy" is not an intelligent person. Why aren't the breakfast and gym "by appointment only"? You should just close the whole hotel if you are so worried about the covid spreading. Residence Inn, you ruined it for us. Will never be back.

Since the beginning of 2021, I have stayed at this location SEVERAL times as it was my preferred location of Residence Inn's. However, it is obvious that things have changed and not in a good way. Pros: The staff (GM, Front Desk, Housekeepers) are extremely friendly. Cons: Since the beginning of the year, I've noticed that the accommodations for Bonvoy members are pretty much non-existent. There is no such thing as an early check-in, late check-out, regardless of your elite member status. After speaking with management and desk agents, it was explained that people are living there on a temporary basis due to recent storm damages in February 2021. Evidently these people are here more permanently than I realized. Due to being at "full capacity" EVERY day (I assume), they are not able to accommodate early check-in's (even though the Marriott app acknowledges and charges your card for it) or late check-outs (even if your member status allows 2pm check-outs). Additionally, floor preference is reported to be impossible because of the same reasoning. It is extremely unfortunate that this property is now an "Extended Stay Motel" rather than the higher quality of excellence that the Marriott Residence Inn brand has stood for over the years. The lack of acknowledgement of the member benefits that come with being a frequent customer has forced me to spend my money elsewhere and find another location or hotel brand that will be more accommodating to my frequency of stays.

The stay was enjoyable. The room was cozy and impeccably clean. The staff during my stay were very accommodating and friendly. Since my stay there was so pleasant, I chose to extend my stay for a week, which meant my stay was about two weeks long. Then came the checkout, which was a big disappointment. The manager on duty was dismissive, unaccommodating, and unfriendly where his employee working with him was trying her best. It was very much a shame after such a pleasurable stay. I’m local, staying there while my house is on the market. Sadly I’ll choose a difference place the coming weeks.

Dear Gorilla Lover, We are so glad your stay was excellent during the 2 weeks with us. As it is a very difficult time for the hotel industry, we have stopped front desk from making any decisions that financially impact the business. We do try to give extended checkouts up to 4 pm if available, however your departure was after 6 pm and hence a charge of additional night was made. The lady helping you was in training for another property and had to clear it with the front desk associate. We do apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. I do hope that all the fresh complimentary breakfasts, nightly dinners, amenities and cleanliness protocols are enough to get you reconsider and return. We truly appreciate your business! I hope that you can understand the situation we are in as well. With Much Gratitude, Smeeta GM

My experience at this hotel was fine, nothing that great, but nothing went wrong either. The staff was nice enough at my check in, but nothing to distinguish themselves from any other hotel or Residence Inn. If the price was right I would stay here again, but would not choose it again all things equal with other locations in the area.

We truly appreciate your business and do try to make each stay an excellent one for all our guests. We would love to hear from you on how to make your next stay a great one! We strive to keep our property immaculately clean, have indoor pool and Jacuzzi that is quiet large, workout space, laundry space, basket ball space, a huge breakfast buffet that is complementary as well as a friendly staff always ready to serve. If we fell short in any area, we do apologize and would appreciate your feedback. The property number where I can be reached is 972-596-3200

I don't know why even have a chat/messaging function within the Marriott online check-in system, but this particular Residence Inn does not respond to it. While requesting for Elite status-upgrades, the front desk staff were too busy to bother to respond the day before and the day of check in. Also during our stay, they did not answer calls to the front desk a couple of times. When I finally got through and asked to be connect to a room, the call was just dropped. Then I had to go through the long process of trying to get them to answer the call again. This is actually unusual in all my stays at numerous Residence Inns. The front desk staff and customer service for this particular location is just lacking. The only saving grace during this stay (and the reason for the single star) is that their free breakfast service is better than average. Would not recommend this particular hotel.

Thank you for the opportunity to respond. We truly apologize for not responding to GXP. We have a new front desk associate who is still getting acclimated with all the front desk duties. The GXP system is one that she is still getting approved for through the Marriott system. You are absolutely correct in saying that this weekend was unique. It just happened to be a weekend with 2 groups and our staff members were being pulled in various directions. We apologize for not being able upgrade you to a 2 bedroom suite as it was not available and also for not giving you the attention that we should. You have become accustomed to a certain level of service and we fell short on that. We hope you will give us another opportunity to make your stay a great one. With Much Gratitude, Smeeta
