Handicap accessible room with roll in shower available at last minute when reservation at another hotel did not meet expectations. Hampton Inn provided accommodation that I needed. Friendly, helpful staff - especially Taylor at the front desk. Very clean room, hot breakfast, comfortable bed. Will definitely stay again.
The Hampton Inn and Suites Port Aransas is a welcome addition to the lodging possibilities in the city. The building is a multi-story of the main road that is very appealing after a hot day on the beach. Speaking of the beach, it is on the other side of the road and is not on or near the beach, however, its location is really a quick drive to the beach or to head further into Port A or to head back toward the state park or Corpus Christi. The entry to the property is a bit challenging and is tucked next to a Stripes convenience store. If you go too fast, you can miss it. The rooms are modern, light colored and very clean, however, upon getting into our room we noticed our bathroom lacked any toilet paper, but that was remedied quickly by desk manager Margaret who seemed to be always there to help out. She was very friendly and had a very nice attitude that was very welcoming. The air conditioning in the room was ice cold and the room had a small refrigerator and microwave. The bed was comfortable and very nice as well. If one word could describe the hotel, it would be clean. I felt guilty bringing sand back in the room on my shoes. The complimentary breakfast was typical and average. The usual fare of waffles, cereals, muffins, coffee etc. Cons? The elevators are a bit slow and the rooms seem to echo sound easily. Overall, the experience there at The Hampton in Port Aransas was very good to excellent.…
Clean, comfortable bed, quiet room. Easy friendly check in. Very nice pool area. Would stay here again. Easy short drive to the beach. Restaurants close by. Not real close to beach access, but, very short drive.
It's a pretty nice hotel. We had everything we needed. Not far from beach. Staff was friendly and helpful. One small problem - our bathroom floor had not been swept before we arrived. on Thursday evening. There was a bobby pin, a cap to a plastic bottle and a few small bits of paper/crumbs on the floor. In the morning, I left a note to please sweep the bathroom floor - first of all the plastic cap was still there - clearly visible underneath the sink AND she just swept the rest of the stuff out the door and left it on the rug right in front of our door. I know that because the bobby pin and crumbs were left there outside our door. I usually leave a good tip for housekeeping. I left nothing for that night's stay.
we checked into a suite on Labour day weekend. We had to ask for a down grade as we realized we needed two separate rooms. Instead of down grading the front desk offrred another room for half rate as the hotel had many cancellations due to bad weather Later when we checked rates online it was the same rate online . We lost good amount of money on his deal as we trusred them and wss tired from the drive. Had he let us down grade to 2 queen rooms instead of the Suite. We could have taken the other room as we understand we already were checked in for the first night. We had to pay 75 dollars pet deposit for both rooms as well. On top it all the suite which cost us over 800 for 2 nights was charged for 4 adults even though one adult already moved into another room. The above pictures show the standard of the suite we were in. Toilet seat was disgusting with chipped seat. Sink counter had contact lenses left on it. Which shows the standard of cleaning and sanitization. When we were changing trash bags Inside of the The trash cans were so filthy. Outside the pet disposal bags were empty both days. We expected better standards for the price we payed…
The girl at the desk was super negative. Went to check in 30 min early and was complaining about the staff not cleaning any rooms yet. I asked if I should book somewhere else and she said they’d have them all ready in 30 min. I felt it was more that she didn’t want to deal with us! Sept 11 th at 2:30 pm
Great facility with great staff. This is always our 1st choice in Port Aransas. It isn’t on the water but it is still a great location. I highly recommend the Hampton Inn & Suites in Port Aransas. It is clean and safe. We have never had any problems here.
This hotel was very clean and well maintained. It looks to be a newer hotel. I wasnt expecting much from a beach/coastal hotel...but we were pleasantly surprised. I stay in HI for work and this was one of the better ones.
Hotel needs cleaning. Carpet in hallways was not vacuumed in the three days we were there. Door to room did not close unless forced. No extra toilet paper in room requiring trip to front desk, very inconvenient. Overall decent stay. Staff helpful but not very engaged.
Rude and not friendly front desk person who wasn’t very helpful about anything. Why doesn’t the hotel have access tickets for the beach? Went there and saw signs that you can’t park on the beach without it and can be fined $500. Human stains on almost everywhere you sit in our room, never again!
