We stayed here 12/28/22 through 1/2/23. The staff is the best part of this hotel. All of the employees we encountered were helpful, especially Hunter at guest reception and the nice lady who runs the breakfast each morning. Hunter was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The lady who runs the breakfast was cheerful, happy to serve, and kept the area clean and welcoming. The rooms are clean and bright and the beds are very comfortable. Great value for the area and very convenient to lots of food and shopping.
We spent two nights here. Desk clerks were great. Very service oriented!n Room was standard HIE, but it was very clean and bed was comfortable. Breakfast could use some improvement- perhaps yogurt with less sugar; decaf coffee, and some healthy breads. But overall it was a good place to stay for our trip.
Stayed her a few times before Harvey & very happy it remains in business. Property appears to have focused management, unlike MANY similarly priced hotels/motels, along with friendly & engaged employees & good housekeeping. Breakfast items were totally stocked, & the area was neat, tidy & organized, which is NOT always the case with HI Express properties. Definitely sets an example for other IHG & similarly priced properties. Look forward to returning.
Excellent stay. When we arrived our original room had wet carpet likely due to a leaky refrigerator. The staff immediately moved us to another room of the same size on the third floor no questions asked. The room was clean, comfortable, smelled good. Comfortable bed, nice countertops in the seating area. No noise at night from other guests or cars outside. Clean pool, the hot tub wasn’t as warm as expected, however with a quick mention the staff adjusted something and the water in the tub heated right up. .3 miles/.4 km from the ocean. Good breakfast. For sure would come back again. For the price and location, features it’s hard to top.
We were here for two nights in mid-week as April was winding down. The hotel, like the town and the beach at large, was quiet and uncrowded. For retirees, mid-week after spring break and before schools let out for the summer is the best time to visit the Texas beaches. The breakfast offerings were as minimal as minimal can get. On the first morning, they were down to cinnamon rolls and biscuits and gravy. This is a testament to the supply chain shortages that have hammered many hotels nationwide. We opted the next morning to stop at Donut Palace on our way out of town. No shortages there. Our room was clean as well as quiet, and had the expected comfortable IHG mattresses and pillows. The room also had 2 safes (both inoperative), a microwave and mini-frig. The latter lacked a freezer element for our stash of dry ice, but the staff (nice people throughout) laid it up for us in one of their freezers. Thanks! The real draw for us here was the great outdoor pool and hot tub. The pool was a bit chilly in the shadows of mid-morning, but by 11:30 the pool was bathed in direct sunlight and proceeded to warm up nicely. We put both to good use on both days. We look forward to staying here again.…
There was Blood on sheets, toilet smelled like sewage and poor customer service. We were blamed for a clogged toilet and had to use a plunger all night long just to flush. There was no active managers on duty.
Was greeted at checkin, staff was friendly and receptive, very professional, and check in was a good experience. The particular room that we were assigned was third floor and the elevator was extremely loud and disruptive in this room, since I had already spoke with the staff, I was told that they were at capacity. The elevator smelled horrible, and the breakfast was not appetizing in appearance, to the point of not having any desire to eat it.
We came down to port Aransas to star a drive along the Gulf coast to Florida we booked this hotel and were pleasantly surprised. Very comfortable and relaxing. Close to the beach you could walk if you wanted to. The Hotel is nestled among rental homes and private beach homes. Very relaxing but fun area. we would stay here again in a heart beat and will recommend to anyone who asks.
Booked the Holiday Inn Express for May 23-25. Hotel is well-kept, quiet, and clean. Best of all, it's about 400 yards to the beach. You are reminded you need a beach pass ($12) to park on the beach. You can purchase it on the beach or a local store. The hotel includes breakfast, but it's take-out due to Covid restriction. You request your items and they're packed so you can your breakfast to your room. It's inconvenient but fully understandable considering this cursed pandemic. Room was piste ample with TV and small fridge. I would stay here again.
This was the absolute worst experience we have ever encountered. Management is extremely rude. Cancelation policy sucks. Will be filing a claim with the BBB. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone!!!!
