I wished I would of read the reviews first. This was not the best to stay at. It was very dirty for what we paid per night, and the sheets had stains, Eww. We have never stayed in a hotel with stains. Won't be coming here again.

Been coming to Port Aransas for years, worst experience of my life! Do not go here, dusty, dirty, dingy, stains on the sheets, bugs, awful! Room has gross stuff on the fridge, just do yourself a favor find somewhere else. Owner wont give you a refund, they are money hungry.

Worst experience of my life me and my wife went to stay here and got scammed out of 600 dollars spoke to multiple other people that stayed that had similar experiences don’t go here for your own good the owner is a mean hearted person right when meeting her just go to YELP to see real reviews because that’s been the most accurate ones I could find good luck if for some reason you do decide to stay at this DUMP

Enjoyed our stay here rooms are older but brought up to date Quiet convenient to convention center Good playground for kids easy access to rooms parking right in front Excellent and very helpful staff Rooms kept clean by staff My only complaint very few outlets available for your electronic devices

Make reservations through a travel agency, otherwise you won't get a refund when cancelling. They don't give you a canfirmation number or cancellation number and charge your card saying you didn't cancel in time! Beware of Mary who answers the phone until you try to cancel, then hangs up on you when you try to get your money back!!

Everything was great!! Really nice staff, clean cabin and hotel room. Nice pool!! We will definitely be coming back regularly!! They made us feel very welcome and we really enjoyed our stay and rested well!!

Stayed in a cute cabin at Shark Reef Resort. The staff was very friendly. Thank you to Nick and Nadia for taking care of our requests quickly and with a friendly smile. It is also conveniently located next to a laundry mat. Near a grocery store and of course restaurants, shops and the beach.

We have stayed at Shark Reef several times and this was without a doubt our worst stay! First of all, more electrical outlets are needed in rooms. We constantly had to unplug lamp, microwave, etc.so we could plug in our devices. The remote to a/c was missing and we could not change temp in room. The room had a funky smell, which we chalked up to being a 'dog room', and the floor was so dirty you had to wear shoes at all times. The courtyard/pool area is nice, except for every time we took our dog out to potty, he got stickers in his paws. The first shower we took backed up the tub so we called office and they said they'd send someone to fix it. Two different maintenance men came in and out of our room multiple times and didn't wear masks (during height of COVID19). They were unable to fix plumbing so moved us to a new room. About 20 min after checking into new room the people in room next to us took off on golf carts and left their poor puppy in room to bark for hours. Also, it was nearly impossible to open door to our room. It stuck and didn't fit in frame and made it extremely difficult to enter room. Shark Reef is one of the cheaper motels to stay at on the island, but after this stay we will definitely pay a little more to stay somewhere else where we won't have so many issues.…

Rented a cottage that was lovely to look at. No dishwasher soap, no paper towels, no ice, all for $300 a night. Dishes needed to be prewashed prior to use. Floors dirty enough that we always wore shoes. One tiny bar is bathroom soap, and no washcloths. Could be a lovely place with a few amenities and a thorough cleaning.

Staff was rude at the desk when I called & upon check in. Room doesn't look like the pics online. Beds were SO hard! The shower handle almost came off when turning it on & the toilet wasn't bolted down, my son literally almost FELL OFF. This was all on Day 1. The next day after we got back from the beach, we found the room hadn't been cleaned and no clean towels. I had to use my cell to call the office bc no phones in the rooms, and I asked Don't y'all clean the rooms? She said we don't have daily cleaning service. I was so mad I was all sandy, the towels were all used up from the first day at the beach, and so I was like Are you telling me we do not get fresh towels each day???!!!!!! And she was so rude and said "Do you want some?" I of course said yes. A nice man and lady brought them not long after but that lady at the front is something else. I have never stayed at a place that looks so different from the pics online, and that didn't clean the rooms daily. AND she told me we had to take out our own trash!!!!!! The ppl that brought the towels brought me TRASHBAGS!!!! I will never stay there again, and don't recommend it to others. In addition to all of that, upon check-in, she charged me $5 extra for every person and there was NO MENTION of that charge anywhere or anytime that I spoke with her. I could have stayed somewhere that was nice compared to what I ended up paying in the end at this place to be my own maid, have my back killing me, and be angry the entire time I was there. AND ALSO at least half of the length of the side we stayed on had a loud party until 4:45 AM!!! I have kids and it was uncool. The staff did nothing to stop the noise. It was like we were in the middle of a spring break party all night long.…
