Stayed here this week while in town on business. Every part of the experience was just fine. The front desk personnel were great. The room was spacious and clean. The breakfast was standard HIE fare and quite good. Good price and good location. What's not to like. Recommended

This was a good place considering it's really the only thing in Rio Grande City. The staff was kind and the place was very clean. If you don't mind staying in a hotel 80% occupied by DPS, Border Patrol and other law enforcement, then this is a good place. At least you can feel safe and secure.

This hotel has large rooms. The room was refreshed daily. The staff in the hotel were very informative and answered any questions we had about the area. A breakfast was provided each morning, and coffee throughout the day.

I stayed here with a group of clients all of whom were satisfied with the accommodations. Rooms were adequate but not particularly clean. The provided breakfast offered a bunch of choices and the food was fresh and good. The front desk staff was cordial and efficient. We were shocked to find more than a dozen police cars in the parking...

Business trip. Hotel was a nice break from other noisy hotels I stayed at off 83 in McAllen/Harlingen. Had room towards back of hotel & it was very quiet. Typical HIG breakfast but its nice that they list what is on the b'fast menu in the elevator instead of having you try to guess what's inside the folded over omelets....

I stayed here for the week on business. The staff is rude. I had to beg for an ashtray and coffee creamer, only to be handed one package of powdered creamer. The key card had to be remade several times. The pool is nasty. The topper to all this was having to take a cold shower. When I called down...

The Holiday Inn Express in Rio Grande City looked nice enough from the outside, and the front desk staff was friendly and efficient. The room was simply furnished, and it looked as if the property had not been updated in a while since the television was a tube-style. That didn't bother me much. Flat screens are nice, but what I...

Would not have stayed anywhere else in Rio Grande City or surrounding areas. Staff was great, rooms were clean, breakfast was very good. We got 4 rooms and all the rooms were great. When we had a noise issue with one of the neighbors, the manager and his staff didn't even hesitate to upgrade us to a different part of...

We were just passing through and stayed at the holiday inn express. It was not the best one that I have stayed at but was decent. You probably should not stay at a lesser hotel in this area. I do not know if I would have felt safe in cheaper hotel due to all the problems that exist on the...
