If you are ever in this part of the country this is the BEST PLACE to stay. The rooms are clean and the hospitality is uncompairable! They treat you like family. I highly recomend the stay, you will not want to leave. This is the 3rd year I have stayed there and I will not stay anywhere else

If you're grading on a curve then yes it's 5 stars. If you are looking for a JW Marriott then you are going to be radically disappointed. It was clean, friendly, safe and available in the middle of no where. I talked to the owner for quite a while and he seemed quite pleasant, didn't seem to mind that I...

You know, for what it is, this is a nice place to stay. It's clean, beds are comfortable and has tables, chairs and grill outside. We sit under the tree in the evening, have a cold one, grill some dead animals and tell lies. We'll be back next year for sure.

this is a great, clean, and affordable place to stay if you ever find yourself driving through the Sanderson Texas area. the rooms are basic, but clean and comfortable. the staff is very friendly!! there is a nice picnic area in the court yard area of the motel, so you can BBQ or just hang out with family there. There...

I was very happy with my stay at the Desert Air Motel. For $42/night, you can't beat the amenities - refrigerator, microwave, and TV. Plus it was clean. Last but not least, the staff was prompt and friendly. I would stay here again without a second thought.

We stayed here mid May for one night as we were passing through. We found the owners very friendly and the manager very jovial. They are recent owners of this motel and still learning the trade. The rooms are set back from the roadway and are very clean and tidy. The motel is of bye gone era and it shows...

I reviewed this motel in Dec. 2012. I spent another night there in Dec. 2014. Earlier this year the owner was killed in a freak motorcycle accident, and the place has new owners. They too are very friendly and had no problem with my dog sleeping on the floor (no extra charge.) They have repainted the sign, and are doing...

Sadly, the previous owner of this hotel (the motorcycle enthusiast) died this summer in a traffic accident when a large oil barrel fell off a truck ahead of him and crushed him. The new owners are pleasant people, but entirely new to the business of running a motel. The property itself dates from the 1950s, and the furnishings are "older"....

We needed to be in sanderson for business. This hotel and the one next door were recommended. Yes it is cute and quaint. But when I looked close at the being I was shocked. The sheets were crisp and clean but the mattress pad just under the sheet was disgusting. I don't think it had ever been washed. There was...

I'm a confirmed borderland desert rat! For a weary west Texas Horn Toad, the Desert Air Motel in Sanderson, TX is a pearl of great price. It isn't fancy... but it has practically everything I need or look for in a road layover . The great rate is only compounded by the cool, relaxed backwater grace of the management, the...
