This was a jewel of a find! We stayed at the cabin & we loved our porch! Actually, we loved everything about the cabin & the hosts! We always like to try something different when we travel. We have never booked at a B&B but I have always wanted to! This was the best of both worlds since we stayed...

We had never heard of Tarpley Texas until now. My husband found this gem for our 38th anniversary weekend. We have many family memories in the Lost Maples area so we wanted to return to the area. The owners, Mary Bob and Curtis, are delightful and we enjoyed visiting in the spacious living/kitchen area. Breakfast was a dining experience of...

The Fig Preserve has a lot of great things going for it, and the owners are careful to preserve what they have built and developed. Having never been to this part of the Texas Hill Country, my wife and I primarily chose because of location, but it also presented itself as the nicest in terms of competitive pricing and the...

What a delightful respite. My hubs and I stayed in the small cottage, Storm's Haven. We enjoyed the wrap around porch, great shower and kitchen. The hosts could not have been more accommodating and welcoming. The meals were delicious and unique. From this base, we hiked Lost Maples and Garner State Parks. No tv was a plus for us.

The hosts couldn't have been more accommodating and friendly, the room was very sweet, and the food was amazing! My favorite thing was the hummingbirds - seemed like hundreds of them buzzing around the feeders just feet away on the front porch. Magical!

The breakfasts were better than 5 stars with everything fresh and homemade. The room setup was perfect with a private entrance to the Coastal Room, and their Texas style great room and porch were available to guests for relaxing, birdwatching, or overlooking the pond. Mary Bob and Curtis' hospitality was unrivaled. Will go back soon. Don and Barbara

I live in Rio Hondo and needed a place for my friends to stay, my place is small, I just learned my good neighbor has some accommodations. My friends didn't need or want much, but what we got was exceptional. The cabin was perfect, I invited myself for breakfast with my friends, it was so good I asked if my...

Great location in the Hill Country. Our cabin was spotless and nicely equipped. The breakfast was one of the best I've had in a long time. Fresh biscuits with fig preserves from figs picked on the property. Sitting on the porch in the evening and morning was very enjoyable. We're planning on returning soon.

A beautiful, restful, accommodating B&B in the hill country near Tarpley Texas. The Innkeepers were a wonderful couple who went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. The breakfasts were healthy and delicious! The rooms were nicely decorated and extremely clean. There was a wrap around porch outside our bedroom overlooking a serene pond. The sunrises were amazing...
