This is a basic hotel with a fairly spacious room conveniently located to Big Bend NP. It is old and shows it's age, but it is reasonably priced (under $100/nite for our stay), and 3 miles from the park entrance, 45 minutes to the Chisos Basin. It has a cafe and grocery store next door with a breakfast buffet for... More

Although it looks okay from the highway, look can be deceiving. The site we were assigned was taken by someone else, who had broken off the faucet at his site a week earlier, so we had to get another site. The RVer who broke it off had reported it, and the faucet was capped, but not repaired to be usable.... More

Very friendly staff but this hotel is extremely outdated. We did not even have any light bulbs in either of our lamps. The decor was early garage sale. The Linens were stained and the roof is leaking. The location was amazing the stars outside were brilliant. They did recommend the Starlight theater for dinner which was really fun and good.... Excellent surprise on my recent 9 day stay at Big Bend Resort and Adventures. From the 1st day all of the staff were totally engaged and helpful. The facilities, considering this is in the desert and a long way from Houston, Dallas or Denver, was in great shape. Other reviews comments were found in error: I never saw any dirty... More

This place provide good basic clean lodging for a reasonable price during my 4-night stay. It was just the sort of place I was led to expect from reading reviews and talking with Terlingua/Study Butte residents. The location between the two parks is a good one. One can go west to the state park or east to the national park. Places... More

We were in a bind for a motel late in the day and stopped here. Facility appeared to be 1950's motel, inside and out. Room was worn out in every respect. (carpet, sheets, blankets, bedspread all threadbare; sink, tub and furniture should have been replaced years ago, etc.). Probably doesn't deserve even one star!

We made reservations over the phone with the person at the 877 number since no one ever answered the phone at the actual motel. We pulled in to the motel to check in during normal business hours and the lobby was closed. There was a sign that said "back in 15 minutes". We waited almost an hour! We went next... More

First, don't let the "resort" label fool you - this is an older motel and RV park. That out of the way, I have to say that I enjoyed my stay here. This was the best option for what I was looking for - a "hotel", conveniently located to Big Bend National Park, close to restaurants (actually has a restaurant),... More

Of all the RV sites off 118 , Study Butte or Terlingua, this probably has the best. Just know that you are in Big Bend country. Expect the same wildlife as the state and national park. Black bear, javelina, mountain lions / bobcat, rattlesnakes, etc are the norm. Use your head and you're fine. Have pets? Be smart. Short leash,... More

I wanted to stay at a place near the park instead of paying double for the lodge in the park. Given its run by the same company I figured Id give it a shot. The room was clean but a dump. It really needed updating,it probably hadn't been redone in 40 years. The carpet was coming up,the air conditioner was... More
