We booked a room here so my pregnant wife wouldn’t have to drive an hour and a half for an exam early this morning. Westin is known for comfort and that’s why we booked. At its core the sole purpose of a hotel is to provide restful sleep. Everything else should come secondary and Westin has failed. Loud music began at 9:00 and did not stop until 2am. After calling front desk they suggested we could change rooms and it may help but wasn’t guaranteed. We have 5 and 9 year old children and waking them at 11 pm to change rooms is a ludicrous suggestion. Westin should let guest know if you want rest don’t stay here. It seems nightlife has overshadowed there guest experience. Terrible experience

Hi Burton77835, Sorry to hear about your recent experience with us. I certainly apologize for the noise levels you encountered during your stay. Majority of the time these scenarios are out of the hotel's control. I will make no excuse for it, but our team does work hard in trying to solve the issue where we can assist. We are aware of the outside noise and are working on a solution. In the meantime we make an effort to let anyone know who may be affected in regards to their location of the room about the noise. If you weren't notified at check-in I do apologize and will get with the team to make sure consistency isn't overlooked. Thanks again for staying with us. Be well, Tate Harris Front Office Manager

The hotel is nice and the staff is polite. However, at nighttime, the nearby bars play music so loud that you can hear it inside your room. My wife and I stayed here for the Woodlands Marathon (b/c the marathon partnered with the hotel). We had a room on the fifth floor facing the front of the hotel. At 8:00 pm, the music started getting louder and louder. It was so loud I thought it was coming from outside my window. I called the front desk and was told that the hotel contacted the tenants of the bars/restaurants prior and discussed the music being lowered at 10:00 pm. I was also told that "being a hotel, on the Waterway, which is considered the nightlife of The Woodlands, can be challenging" The music was not turned down at 10:00 pm and remained loud until close to midnight. I had to sleep with my head sandwiched between two pillows. The next morning at the race, I discovered that multiple people called to complain. The bottom line is that the hotel knew the noise was going to be a problem and knew it was hosting a marathon. Instead of letting guests know that the noise may be a problem prior to check-in, it did nothing. Also, the hotel does not do a good job of letting guests know that they don't have to use their valet parking. There is a parking lot nearby that you can use.

Hi newlywedlawyers, Thanks for taking the time to share your experience you had while staying at The Westin at The Woodlands. Please accept our apologies for the outside noise that affected your stay. We are working on a more permanent solution, however in the meantime we do make an effort to let guests know if we believe the room they have booked will be impacted by the noise during their stay at check-in. As for the parking, we offer valet as a perk for our guests, but by no means is it required. Self-parking is always an option where you can utilize the 24/7 monitored garage adjacent to the hotel. Or if you want to utilize the open lot behind the hotel that is certainly an option as well. We also often mention curbside parking available throughout the waterway. Again please accept my apologies you weren't informed about the noise or parking options. I will make sure to go over the importance of these touch points with the team. Thanks again for staying with us. Tate Harris Front Office Manager

Daughter and Son-in-Law recently moved to The Woodlands so went down for a visit. Stayed at two hotels during the visit to check them out and one of them was the Westin at the Waterfront with the Convention Center. The check-in was wonderful, staff was very friendly, and their on-site restaurant had a great HAPPY HOUR, be sure to check that out. Hotel was very clean, it is noisy if you have a balcony near the action, but honestly if you're out having fun, it doesn't go too late, we were able to go to sleep when we got back. Fun vibe in the whole area and be sure and have breakfast at the on-site restaurant as well, it was really good! Parking is across the street in a garage, but it was no big deal.

The hotel is not properly insulated from the sound outside. Music is blasting through the windows. You can literally hear people speaking ten stories downstairs. It’s hard to believe this place can even stay in business.

Hello DallasKJB, Please accept my apologies for issues you had during your stay with us. Our neighbor restaurants and bars on the weekends often play music to appeal to their patrons. However, don't condone this in anyway. Our team exhausts every option in attempts to make sure our guests aren't affected by the noise level. We are working on a more permanent solution and again I apologize for the impact it had on your stay. Thanks for staying with us, and I hope we have the opportunity to see you again.
