This resort is on gorgeous grounds. We had a room overlooking the golf course and had fun looking down on golfers throughout the weekend. We had a masseuse come to our room to give back-to-back massages which was just perfect. And the food on the property (at the Tavern and the Bistro) was excellent. Highly recommend!
It is a beautiful resort for a weekend getaway or for family. The mall, stores, and restaurants are very close. Good night life. We went in December so it was cold. We will need to go back for the summer to enjoy the pool. Beautiful place.
While the property was pretty and relaxing. The staff (except at pool and Valet) were very stand off almost to the point of rude. The room was dusty and the sheets were torn and dingy. Bed was really hard. Most of the hotels restaurants were closed. Only pool cafe and the Bistro was open. Alot of hotel was under construction and closed including game room.
Lack of housekeeping for a resort property was a downer. We prefer our rooms with linen change every 2-3 days, especially since we were active throughout the day. Front desk calls took too long to answer no matter what time of the day one called.
Yep, you read that right. It’s like they don’t want to do the easy things to help you spend money... only 1 restaurant open and it’s 2 buildings away; 3 tables occupied yet takes 10 minutes to get seated and another 30 minutes to get our order taken; ready to order more drinks but server doesn’t come back; want to eat lunch but no room service until 4pm; if it rains, it all shuts down there is NO backup plan. NOTHING else to do, go, or eat except that 1 restaurant with terrible service. If they finally decide to open the pool cafe because it stopped raining at noon, they won’t call-in any cooks to serve food - only drinks will be served. You’ll be told that you can order room service to the pool area (if it’s after 4pm, of course) but there’s no phone to do so! You’ll have just walked from 2 buildings away and now you’ll have to walk back to your room, to order food back at the pool. 🤦🏻♀️ You’ll want to buy some snacks from the lobby, but only candy bars, dry cereal, alcohol, cherry coke, and mellow yellow are left. - But they do sell remote-controlled, multi-colored lights that float in the water. 🤷🏻♀️ You’ll want more water to drink but there’s none to be found. No bottles for purchase, only glasses of ice water from room service - and again, only if it’s after 4pm. You’ll want a massage, and they’ll try and book an Uber-like service for you (bc their spa is closed), but it won’t work out. Literally, the front desk won’t get a response from the service and that’s it. Nothing. You’ll be begging for an overpriced massage and it’s not available. They won’t follow up with the service or try again. This is the hotel of “no.” Nothing is truly service-oriented here. Only stay here if there’s NO rain and you don’t mind very few options. The individual employees are nice enough and friendly enough, but it seems as if their hands are tied. They aren’t armed with the tools necessary to provide great service, nor do they seem encouraged to try and go above and beyond to provide great service. Stay away. We had the choice between the Westin nearby or here, and I wish we had chosen the Westin. We got worse service than a Courtyard Marriott and paid double the price for it. 🤦🏻♀️ …
