I was a little worried at staying at a hotel in Van Horn, Texas because it is not a very big town and is mainly made of 2 star hotels but we took a chance at staying at this hotel but I was completely happy with my stay. I personally do not like a hotel that have outside doors instead...

Van Horn, Tx. Is not a valuable destination. But for a layover, it is difficult to beat the Econo Lodge on Broadway St. there. Fortunately, we veered away from the interstate hotels and ventured into town. Econo Lodge was a great surprise. Great clean room, textured bottom tub for non-slipping, new paint, and Direct TV, king bed...it was a pleasant...

The good- the room was clean, the bed comfortable, and the shower was good. The room had a fridge but wasn't plugged in so took awhile to cool. Did have a charging port. The bad - first impression in the lobby was a strong cooking odor ( curry?). The towels felt like sand paper and he toilet paper was the roughest...

Nice staff, clean room, and easy access to/from I-10. Upon arrival they got us checked in with little wait. Made our way to our room, and was pleasantly surprised. It was clean and well take care of. The beds were comfortable. Checking out was easy and we were back on the road.

Pretty easy to get too off the highway. Little dated, looked like they may be remodeling a little. Room was clean, quiet as it is a little ways off highway, easy check in even though late at night. A/C worked great. Blankets were a little thin.

Reserved a queen on the first floor, was told didn't have queens on first floor, only doubles. I am 82 years old and I wasn't about to climb a bunch of stairs for one night. Rooms are renovated but not professionally. The breakfast was worthless and we traveled to the next town before we ate. Staff was not friendly and/or...

The hotel is a good value for what we paid. We stayed in two rooms for a night while driving through Texas. Nothing special...nothing bad. Comfortable beds, nice flat screen, appears upgraded. Our rooms had mini fridge, microwaves and coffee makes. They are also pet friendly for a $10 fee. Wifi seems to work fine. The pool is drained and...

I picked this place because of the pictures that show "remodeled" rooms and the room looked nothing like the picture! The blankets were full of holes so my husband went and told the lady at the front desk that we would not be staying the second night because of the holes in blankets & she could care less & said...

Van Horn is in the middle of nowhere, and while there are quite a few hotels to choose from, most are in this same range - adequate. Econo Lodge a clean place to lay your head at night and that's about it. Beware of the numerous trains running through town at night and turn up the AC to help drown...

Stayed here last night. Friendly receptionist, rooms were clean and modern, nice new flatscreen tv, breakfast was decent, outdoor pool was empty and looked like not used for awhile. Overall a pleasant stay at a decent price. Would stay here again.
