Lots of nit-picking about this property that's totally unreasonable. Ignore it. This is a cool, older resort that's a STEAL for the price. Great amenities. Great location and waterfront access to the beautiful, spring fed Cypress Creek. Really the reason to come here, BTW. Private access means no crowds and yahoos, in a serene, natural setting that's perfect for families,...

I needed a room in close proximity to the Wimberley Valley Winery where I planned to attend an evening wedding, and this was the closest I found, about 5 miles down the road. The Lodge goes back a few years and the rooms are of that era to be sure. Though a bit dated by modern standards they were clean...

Very disappointed with the Lodge...it was built in 1949, I think, and seems to have had no updates since. The room was clean enough towels OK but that's it...no coffee maker in room and the lobby was a hike from our room! There was a hairdryer but no place to plug in bathroom so had to sit in bed to...

We are so sorry your stay was no up to your standards. We have been updating this historic hotel since we bought it in 2007. We try to be very transparent on our website by stating that there are no fridges, microwaves, personal A/C settings or phones in the rooms and that the creek is a 150yard walk (or drive)...

Attended a wedding. Ritual was outside by the river. Very nice, under trees. Reception was inside. Dancing was outside in the heat but not my issue. Food was terrific, staff very helpful and efficient. Rating given was for wedding attendance only, not the lodge overnight.

Attended a destination wedding at The Lodge this past weekend. The event was fantastic - rehearsal dinner, ceremony and reception. The Lodge is an entirely different situation. Let me give you a few examples: The only electrical outlets in the room are one behind the headboard and one behind the dresser/TV. We pulled the dresser away from the wall and...

We are sorry you didn't enjoy your stay, however, your input helps us improve everyday and we will use this as a guideline when our hotel is scheduled to be refurbished this fall/winter. We were built in 1949 and vacant from the 90's till 2007. We are trying our best to update it as much as possible but these things...

We checked in on Friday evening. Front desk was very quick to give all of the rules but did not offer any amenities. It was clearly stated on doors that quiet time started at 10 pm, however we were hearing guests especially children well after 11. The next morning we were awakened with loud guests in the next room. If...

We are so sorry to hear that your stay was not satisfactory. We do have our amenities posted on an information board in the lobby and just outside the front door but we are very sorry they were not communicated well to you. In light of this review we have ordered amenity sheets that also include a property map to...

We attended a wedding here and were appalled at the overall bad condition of the facility. The chairs for wedding guests were dirty and the vinyl seats were cracked and torn open on many of them. These same chairs were used again inside for the reception without the dirt being cleaned off the legs. The reception area for dinner had...

Stayed there July 10-11, 2016. The Lodge itself is comfortable and has a homey feel to it. Cleanliness was Good. Location was Good. Beds were comfortable. There is carpet in the room and there are No bathtubs just showers. The negative things about the place for me were #1the Pool closes at 8pm. If quiet time in the lodge begins...

Each summer I like to take my kids on a short 2 night stay somewhere in Texas. This year we chose Wimberley so we could visit the various swimming holes. I picked The Lodge since it was on the water and reasonable price knowing full well we chose to stay at an older property, mom and pop shop. Pros: The...

We booked two nights, Friday & Saturday. Very expensive for what we had to deal with. We were awaken Saturday AM night by wedding drunks, kids slamming doors, and again Sunday morning around 1:30 am by wedding drunks. This time, we got up, dressed, checked out and headed back home. I would say we left around 2:30 ish am..This place...
