Detailed Reviews
My parents were on a road trip and my dad got sick. They stopped here to get a room, and stayed the night. The lady at the front desk got them a room, it was clean, quiet and in good shape. The next morning my dad was much sicker and needed to get to medical attention. Chris (manager?) looked up a few walk-in clinics, and they ended up at the Tyler County Hospital. My dad was eventually transported to Beaumont, Texas. The courtesies extended by Chris was greatly appreciated and above and beyond.

The hotel staff was very courteous and the front desk area was very nice and inviting. The room was clean, bed was very comfortable, and just really relaxing. The service was very good but the housekeeping staff was slow. The room didn't get cleaned till around 1pm. There is a small pool in the center of the hotel and they have a small breakfast area with TV at the front of hotel. Elijah's Cafe is next door so you literally walk a few feet out of the parking lot to go and enjoy a great meal. The hotel is conveniently located near Wal-Mart, McDonalds, Sonic, Subway, and several gas stations and convenience stores. The hotel was very nice so if you have to stay for a visit, this is definitely the place to stay!

It is a typical rural motel, clean, but definitely not fancy. The price was a little high, but supply and demand and us needing a place to lay our heads cost us extra. Restaurant next door for food, and gas station across the street for incidentals.

Woodville doesn't have a lot of hotels to chose from. I will be in the area for one night every week for the next month (4 nights total). I needed a hotel that would allow me a late checkout.
I called the day before my arrival and spoke with Pat who gave me a 3pm departure so I booked the room.
When I arrived on Thursday 8/24, I spent the first 30 minutes killing love bugs. They were EVERYWHERE (especially in the curtains by the bathroom sink). They weren't roaches so I wasn't too disgusted (there are millions of them around this area at this time of year). I wouldn't have bee surprised to see a few had gotten in. It was obvious they cleaned the room after the last guest left (which I would guess was days or weeks prior) and never checked it again.
Other than the bugs, the room was clean, fresh linens, etc...
A little after 11am, the management/maid (whoever she was) starts banging on the door. We respond that we have a late checkout. They bang again telling us they need for us to leave so they can clean the room for people coming in from Houston (evacuating due to the hurricane).
While I am totally sympathetic for people evacuating and needing a hotel room, the hotel staff knew this information the day before when I requested the late checkout. Allowing us to stay a few more hours (and honoring their promise) was not going to hurt their business one way or the other.
$89 for a motel is a little overpriced when you can stay in a cleaner hotel in Livingston for the same price.

We stayed here 2 nights for business . When we arrived I wasn't impressed . I always read the reviews and I have to say they were way off this time . It wasn't the cleanest and the beds were lumpy . The toilet was nasty ! We had to clean it before we could use it ! I don't think I would stay here again .

We stayed here for business. We brought our two little ones. The front desk lady offered to give us sheets for the floors for our little ones to play and crawl on the floor which was very nice of them. Rooms were clean and the bed was comfy. Would definitely stay again!

This review covers a Friday and Saturday night stay at this comfortably quiet establishment in the sleepy town of Woodville, Texas. I Arrived around 10:00 a.m. Friday, and was greeted by a professional member of the staff, check in was a breeze. The room was a smoking king, the room was very clean, bed was comfortable, the shower had plenty of hot water, and 2 sets of towels. As expected since it was a smoking room, and I am a smoker and I requested the room, I did need to use my trusty Scentsy warmer and room spray which I never leave home without. All in all done I will stay here again, and have and will definitely recommend it to family, friends, or strangers without any hesitation. I have payed a lot more to stay in half the comfort and quality.
