What an incredible place to be our base for visiting Capital Reef, Bryce, and Zion National parks in south central Utah! Nestled on the Grand Staircase, Boulder Mountain Guest Ranch is quiet, courteously staffed, converted ranch house with cabins around it. The food is superb. We spent three nights and had a different entree every night. We can't recommend it...

Friendly staff, excellent fresh food, and beautiful scenery! A little bit away from the road; however, it contributes to the quaintness of the place. There are two walks on the property that explore the beautiful property. We would definitely come back again!

This place is AMAZING! It's a hidden gem! They have big tepees, little, cabins, and a few other options for accommodations. The restaurant has a full dinner menu, all homemade. The entire ranch is very Eco friendly. They raise and grow a lot of what you'll find on the menu. The staff is incredible. This was an amazing find. If...

This was a surprising experience! Rooms are just what you need to get by. No telefones, no TV, just you and the mountains. The road to the lodge is an experience on it's own. A good night sleep without airco, just the mountain air. The restaurant is better than excellent. We had a superb steak. For people with an open...

We had a lovely stay here for two nights while exploring the grand staircase escalate area. The cabin was really nice and the setting beautiful. Just wish we had more time here to relax as it was so peaceful.

Rustic, quiet paradise with fabulous food. Wish we had time to stay for a week. The lodge is intimate, staff is friendly. Surrounding area is so beautiful. Very fun metal art on the grounds and pet friendly.

We went to BMGR for our wedding anniversary and got much more than we expected. The first night we stayed in the small Tipi, which was a trip and a half. Loved it! Comfortable bed and plenty of room for the two of us. There was an outdoor shower and two outdoor bathrooms that were small but nice. We went...

Of course, when Heaven is involved, often Hell is as well. In this case you have to drive a road known as "Hell's Backbone" to get to this bit of paradise. SO worth the drive! After many consecutive days on the road, rounding the corner, seeing the beautiful green lawns and brilliant colorful flowers everywhere was such a blessing. One...

It was fun to be away from all of the hussle and bussle. The room was everything we needed and felt clean. The best part of our stay was dinner at the Boulder Mountain Guest Ranch. Do not miss the opportunity to enjoy a delicious dinner!

Good location for hiking and seeing the wonderful sights in the area. Nice pastoral and mountain view. Christy was very helpful when we checked in - but things went downhill after that. The entire place appears to be run down - or maybe it should be advertised as rustic. We noticed litter not being picked up. Lighting in the great...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Boulder Mountain Guest Ranch is located off the famous Highway 12 on Hell's Backbone Road between Capitol Reef and Bryce Canyon. We are a rustic and quaint lodge with cabins and luxury camping available as well. We have an onsite restaurant called the Sweetwater Kitchen, named after the lovely creek that runs through our property. Hell's Last Outpost is our general store where you can enjoy a cold beverage, trail maps, and art from local artists. We have an onsite hike to a beautiful waterfall where you can enjoy a nice picnic lunch from the Sweetwater Kitchen. All of our rooms are unique to themselves, displaying art of the local canyon country. Take a walk through our garden where you will see your dinner growing for that evening and enjoy a nice hot shower in our living solar shower made from growing willows.
