Overall our experience was a good one, but I think we would bring our own air mattress if we stayed there again as we were in pain after the two nights there.
The service was friendly and accommodating. The breakfast included the standard Best Western offerings: fresh waffles, toast, cereal, hot chocolate, juice, scrambled eggs, hash browns, sausage, etc., and something I hadn't seen before: Nutella for your waffles!
The pool and spa were well kept and a good temperature-- meaning for me, the pool was not too cold and the spa was not too hot. ;)
Only trouble we had was the hallway on the third floor had a weird smell going on that made my husband dizzy every time we walked through it. When we brought it up to the lady at the front desk, she said that someone had been smoking on that level and there was some special device (or something) that was filtering the air; and she was sorry for the trouble. Super sympathetic about it.
I would totally stay here again. :)
We stayed during the winter months, and aside from ice fishing, there is not much to do in the immediate area, but if you want to have a place away from the crowds and more affordable than Park City or Midway, it was about a 20 minute drive away. We drove to and from the Ice Castles in Midway and saved a lot on accommodations, and the drive to and from the hotel was reasonable.
I would recommend this hotel and will stay here again if the need arises.
When we finally got checked in, she directed us out onto the frontage lot to an empty unlit gravel truck stop lot where we had to cut through tall weeds and thistles to get back to the hotel. I was not comfortable leaving our vehicle and trailer there, but we had no choice if we were to stay as she informed us we couldn’t cancel our booking since we did it on THEIR app.
On the website, it does NOT specify that the pet fee is PER PET (we have two dogs). I wouldn’t necessarily mind if it was clear, but the additional fee, paired with the snotty front desk attitude and awful parking just made for a poor experience. and we won’t return.
Pet policy per BW Website:: We are pet friendly and allow up to two dogs in a rented room. The size limit for any one dog shall be 80 pounds. Other pet types (e.g. cats) may be allowed upon the hotel’s approval prior to arrival. Pet rate is $20 per day. A refundable cleaning and damage deposit of $150 is required upon check-in. If damage occurs or excessive cleaning is needed, the deposit can become non-refundable and the hotel may charge additionally to cover the costs of repair or cleaning.
