This is the worst RV park I have ever stayed at. The bathrooms and showers are dirty and disgusting. The lady at the office was both unprofessional and discourteous. They provided me with a space which had no parking for my vehicle and they became upset with me for trying to park near my space. I would never recommend this...

We enjoyed this little park in a suburb of Salt Lake City. Quite a few permanent residents but that was ok as all sites were very clean and friendly. Big, mature shade trees, nice picnic tables, extra friendly staff, easy access on and off Hwy 15. Wifi was not great. Traveling in a 5th wheel.

Mountain Shadows is not a big time resort, but is a nice, well located stop when traveling. A good percentage of residents are permanent. Facilities are clean, sites are a bit close together, but pet park and grass areas are nice.

The maintenance man straight up told me He hates white people. You have to move your vehicle for other people to get in the spaces sometimes at 8 pm. I visited when they were getting ready for inspections from good Sam and was told if they didnt like my yard we would leave because they want to keep good Sam....

Stayed here one night in October. Kinda close to the freeway which is good news/bad news....spots are kinda tight for a motorhome owing a pickup. Staff were friendly and helpful; amenities available but we didn't take advantage of them.

The staff at this RV park are very accommodating . The man at the desk was so friendly and helpful, it really made our brief overnight stay so much better. We would come back just because of him. The laundry facilities were clean and the park is close to retail locations .

We stayed at this RV Park for three nights while touring Salt Lake City. The best attribute is big trees which shade most sites—they helped keep our rig cool during a hot spell. Also, the bathrooms were clean and ample. Staff was friendly and helpful whenever we had questions. On the negative side, the wifi was useless due to lack...

No serious complaints however, the sites are a bit tight. We were cheek to cheek with our neighbor. The main driveway is paved and wide, the sites are at a 90% angle. Plenty long but a bit narrow. It is meant to be a pull thru but the road we would have to pull out onto was very narrow so...

Over all a mice place to stay. Staff was courteous and quick. Sites are a bit narrow but we got our 42 ft 5th Wheel in and out OK. Needed a key for the pool which they forget to tell us about, but pool and spa were nice and clean. We would stay there again.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Established in the 1950's , Mountain Shadows RV Park started out as a midpoint getaway between Salt Lake City and Provo, close enough to launch out to all the area attractions, but far enough from the bustle of the city to relax. Over the last 50 years the growth of the Salt Lake Valley has been exponential, with the culmination coming during the 2002 Winter Olympics. Interstate 15 was only 4 lanes and 1/2 mile away as late as the 80's, it is now 8 lanes and 50 feet from the entrance of the park. Through it all we've done our best to maintain a friendly atmosphere and full accommodations. With a swimming pool, Jacuzzi, showers, laundry services, dog walk, and grassy tent areas, we have done our best to appeal to a wide audience. With a Good Sam rating of 9.5/10, as well as a park that stays full year round, things are going well, although we are aware of always having room to improve, and this year, 2012 we have upgraded our Wi-Fi to handle internet traffic for up to 50 slots at normal bandwidth usage's. We've also addressed some concerns about staff and the treatment of our customers; we are happy to say that we have made changes and trained our staff to be more receptive to our customers. And the reviews we've seen since this change have shown that customers are happier for our focus. ... more   less

“A map of the RV park is available online so that you can choose a specific site when planning your trip. Sites 162 - 175 are on asphalt or concrete driveways; sites 102 - 110 are on a gravel driveway; sites 24 - 31 are near the interstate and entrance to the park. The sites on the outer perimeter of the park are mostly permanent residents.”
