The area caters to hunters and fishermen so accommodations are basic, clean and sufficient. There is a store, restaurant and raft shop on premises so it is a one-stop location. The place to launch rafts is only a couple miles away so access is fast.

Our group of 14 adults rented rafts for a 3 day, 50 mile, trip down the Green River. Employees from the rafting rental spot were helpful as we prepared for our departure, including patiently waiting 30 minutes for some delayed members of our group. Eventually everyone arrived. Leaving our cars at the resort, we were driven to the base of...

If you are looking for no frills ---- no A/C, no wifi, ok water pressure, average to poor TV and there is no other place to stay --- this place works. They claim they have wifi but it did not work on any of the 3 days I stayed. When I asked they said "since we are full it will...

We are sorry you didn't enjoy your stay. We are continually making improvements and appreciate your input, and we are aware of your concerns. In this remote area we have limited wifi options and have tossed over the idea of if we should even offer wifi with such limitations. We are continually looking for ideas.

Stayed at the resort in July. Very clean and comfortable room, with beautiful views in all directions. We stayed in a porch hotel room so that we could sit outside and see the sunset and moonrise; which were absolutely beautiful. Were hoping to enjoy the stars also but the area is pretty well lit with security lights. In fact the...

Thank you for choosing to stay with us and taking the time to write a review. You have a good point about the heavier curtains and we appreciate the idea. One of our improvement projects is to create a walking trail that would provide a place to walk, away from the bright lights, and allow guests an opportunity to sit...

Went to the resort in late July with 3 friends on a fishing trip. Hotel was very basic but clean and comfortable. I felt it was good value for the money. Restaurant was good enough with very friendly staff. Really nice fishing on the Green. Exactly what I expected out of a fishing resort. If you want the Four Seasons...

We didn't stay at the lodge, we camped at Fireman's Memorial campground which was nice. It had a view over looking Flaming Gorge and flushable bathrooms that are kept very clean. Every morning we would see bunnies and even a deer came through our camp. It is just about a 1 minute drive to the little lodge that has a...

You definitely picked a beautiful campground and thank you for stopping in at the Flaming Gorge Resort Store while you were here. The store staff tries hard to have all the supplies you may need, or might've forgotten. It is fortunate that you were able to float the river twice, and once with Dan. He will be pleased to know...

We stayed over 4th of July weekend in one of the motel rooms. It is an older hotel room and the beds were really comfortable with nice quilts. I thought breakfast at the restaurant was excellent. I am vegetarian and had the veggie omelet. The veggies were fresh and weren't overcooked. They have a very small kitchen but plenty of...

It is nice to see such a great review, especially for the 4th of July weekend - one of our busiest weekends! THANK YOU!!! Our kitchen staff and crew are on their toes through the whole weekend, so we are very grateful for your patience and understanding of the kitchen. I'm also glad they were able to make the food...

We are a family of four who have travelled extensively all over the Usa. We stopped at this place for one night. Whilst the area is lovely this resort is CERTAINLY NOT worth the money which it charges. The cabins are basic (don't have any fridges in room) poor Internet connections and only a fan for the air conditioning (which...

Thank you for your review. I would like to apologize for any inconvenience associated with your stay here. As you have stated, our menu isn't as friendly as it should be and by letting us know we will look into it further and hopefully be able to make some necessary changes. Thank you again for your feedback.

This is misnamed a "resort." Don't arrive expecting luxe. The accomodations are aimed at fishermen (and yes, the guests are mainly male). But FGR is very well run, with a very friendly staff and located in a beautiful setting. My husband and I stayed 3 nights, they connected us with a great fishing guide and we enjoyed our stay.

Thank you for your kind and honest review. I often associate lavish and grand things with the title "Resort" as well. Hopefully the lavish and grand came in the form of our friendly and helpful staff, and of course the beauty of the area and exquisite fishing. Thank you for spending your time here.
