I had never been to Escalante before so I had no idea what to expect when we were booking our tiny cabins. I thought it would be a step up from a tent but still "roughing it" a little bit. When I got there I was so impressed. These tiny cabins were so cute, clean and cozy. Had nice bathrooms...

The bunkhouse was a perfect place for our weekend trip - the cabins were clean, simple, and comfortable, and the staff was wonderful. And as an added perk, the bathrooms were wonderfully warm and the showers had great water pressure! Highly recommend getting pizza at the restaurant during your stay.

When our backpacking club had to postpone our plans due to some ugly weather one night, the owners were friendly, informative, and inviting during our stay. The bunkhouses and bathrooms were cozy and clean (even with the snowstorm), and the food in the cafe was great! Overall great business in Escalante, and we can't thank them enough for accommodating us...

This is such a wonderful place! We love the little cabins (clean, simple, cozy), the restaurant (great coffee, tasty breakfast) and the shop (we probably spent more than we needed to on cute Prana and Mountain Hardware clothing). The shared bathrooms are clean and the grounds are well kept...even though there was snow on the ground...We recommend this place for...

Just a brief stop on the way west. It was a very nice experience. Simple and cosy! I really liked it, the rugged and handmade touch is something that suits well with the mountaneous wild west scenery. The interaction was personal and friendly. Maybe the shared bathroom is not everyone's cup of tea but you know that before you book,...

We enjoyed staying with Escalante Outfitters over Thanksgiving break. The cabins and showerhouse were very clean! Great customer service! The rooms have bunkbeds or queen sized beds. There is a common covered area with picnic tables. Escalante is a small town with a Wellsfargo, grocery store, a few restaurants and gas station. Peekaboo and Spooky slot canyons were our destination!...

There are so many good things to say about the experience at Escalante Outfitters. My girlfriend and I stayed in a cabin for two nights in early November 2014. This really is a complete package deal: comfy lodging, an outfitter shop complete with everything you need (or forgot), especially including maps, tons of expert advice on the Escalante / Grand...

Why stay in a faceless motel when you can stay in a warm and comfortable cabin at a very reasonable price with great food to boot. Dana and the café staff are very helpful, the food is great and the shop well equipped for those looking to explore this remote and fascinating area.

I liked the little log cabins the moment I saw them, and just decided to book here, instead of a motel, which is easy, but mostly impersonal. We tend to travel motorcycle USA every 2 years, and just pick nice places with nice scenery, travelling from one place to the other. Sometimes by tent, mostly more comfortable. This place is...

I was surprised (in a good way) by just how clean the little cabin was, and the comfort of the bed. The shared bathroom worked out well, and it was pretty clean, as well. Not fancy, but perfect overnight stop for a motorcycle trip.
