The inn is what we look for when traveling. The rooms are spacious and clean. I must comment on the service and friendliness of staff. We were in Escalante during the national park shutdown. The town was virtually sold out without the shutdown, and rooms were completely sold out after adjacent parks closed. We had reservations at Zion-did not know...

We stayed here two nights. The room was comfortable. The motel is not fancy, but it was clean and quiet, and that's really all we needed. The location is convenient to several eateries, the post office, a gas station/mini mart, and most of the town. They have a gift shop with lots of interesting items.

There weren't a lot of choices in Escalante and we didn't have advance reservations. The Prospector Inn office was open when arrived and still had rooms available. We stayed for one night. It was just OK. There was no complimentary breakfast, which was OK. The beds were a little worn. We were on the second floor and we could hear/feel...

Scott and Cathy know the true meaning hospitality! During the parks closing and opening we needed to change our reservations and plans. We were traveling from Healdsburg CA. We had to cancel our reservations with them and received a full refund! We will definitely be back to visit. Thank you for being so accommodating!

We stayed there last week. Nice clean room. Breakfast was great. Awesome pancakes. Very reasonably priced. Very friendly staff and very knowledgeable of the area. Highly recommend and will stay there again.

Stopped over at the Prospector Inn for one night while on an autumn road trip through southern Utah. There are several motel choices in Escalante and I had no advanced reservations at any. The Prospector looked as good on the outside as the others and so figured I would give it a go. The desk staff was very friendly and...

My husband and I stayed at the Prospector for 5 nights a week ago. It's a basic motel, clean and mostly provides what you want from a motel. The room had a fridge and microwave, free Wi-Fi. But, there were 2 things missing, a comfortable bed, and a blow dryer. Pretty much anymore all hotels and even motels have hair...

Stayed here with a group TripAdvisor DEs and contributors. The rooms are decently priced and the innkeepers are very friendly. The room was pretty basic-2 queen beds, TV, fridge, microwave. It wasn't Caesar's Palace but most people probably don't come to Escalante to be pampered, they come to hike or take tours and just want a decent place to lay...

I stayed here with 10 other hikers. Verna arranged all our rooms together, and made sure we had all we needed. The rooms are good, clean basic rooms with all the necessities, including refrigerator and micro. The location is perfect, with a number of restaurants in walking distance and the grocery store two blocks away. Verna has all the maps...

I've just stayed at this motel for close to a week, meeting a group of friends, mostly other TA Destination Experts. The Prospector is located right at the western outskirts of town, on your left if you come in from the west. The rooms are typical motel rooms, basically. Everything is totally and perfectly clean. There were two queens in...
