Optimum experience; and yes First Choice. Location is ideal in Green River. It's across from the best restaurant in town, for one thing.
And by the way, I appreciate the more modest sign: First Choice Inns at the Swell.
Comfort and convenience are obvious priorities. Proof: the comfy chair in the corner. In other places, how many times have you used every surface for your luggage and had to sit on the bed to put on your socks?
Breakfast was good -perhaps not that unusual. Staff was delightful. So, sure we booked First Choice for our return cross-country trip.
And by the way, Green River, Utah, is the perfect landing place for your adventures into the gorgeous canyon lands all around.

After a week on the trail and tenting, we relished for a peaceful oasis. First Choice Inns turned out to be a wonderful and comfortable place to stay. We were welcomed by friendly, fun and accommodating staff. The room was spacious, beds comfortable, and the pet friendly area was clean and spacious for our beloved dog. The staff obviously care about their clientele which is shown by their attention to cleanliness, beautiful landscaping and friendly helpful staff. The complimentary breakfast was not just a granola bar. Egg/cheese sandwiches, apple juice and other options were available. The location of the Inn is perfect for exploring the town, the museum or just having a peaceful quiet stay. We hope to visit again and appreciate the warm welcome we received. Thank YOU!

Main reason for choosing Green River is that it is only 45 minutes from Arches national Park and the rates there vs Moab are about 60% less! Our stay at First Choice Inn was quite nice. The room was very comfortable and clean. When we checked in we were asked what we wanted for breakfast, they offer a substantial breakfast sandwich and drink that you pick up in the AM which was quite good. Would definitely consider staying here again if / when in the area.

We arrived on a busy Saturday night which was sold out as we got the last room. That being said I was grateful or the room. That’s where it ends for us. We paid for a room with 2 Queen beds. Wouldn’t it stand to reason that we would have 2 kids stay with us? Well, they charged us $10 extra per child for the privilege of getting to stay here. In an effort to get our money’s worth we took the kids to the pool.(literally 🤣) The pool was slimy on the bottom while the hot tub had a solid layer of sand and dirt at the bottom of its lukewarm water! So, if you’re expecting to use it I’d stay away. The room was clean, and the bathroom was adequate and that’s why I gave them 3 circles.

Came here on a night it was storming all around Green River, flurries and blizzards were everywhere! The lobby upon entering is impressive, they had a real fireplace going with cool furniture. Staff was very quick to help show us to our rooms, the rooms were spotless, plush bedding and blankets babied us to sleep, beds were very comfortable. Morning breakfast, standard full hot breakfast you get at most chain hotels. I forgot to mention that this was one of the most affordable places you can find, and for what you get, it has to be the greatest deal in town. Don't miss it

This hotel used to be a Holiday Inn, and might I say they have upgraded? Gone is the bland, standard brand hotel. This place has some nice flavor and a personal touch that is added from the hands-on owner, Kunal. It was a pleasure staying at this hotel, as they provide a very clean room, (beds were extremely comfortable, slept like a boulder) a delicious brekkie in the morning, and even a heated pool and jacuzzi in cold October for guests to enjoy. My wife and I were more than satisfied with this choice we made during our travels.

I stayed at this hotel on a Monday evening the first week of June. Cost through Hotels.com was $115. The gentleman at the front desk warmly greeted me. The hallways had new carpeting as did my room. It appeared as though all the entrance doors to the rooms were new or refurbished. My room had a new register on the door, which insured the door closed slowly and did not slam, thereby not annoying other guests. I suspect these have also been updated on the other room’s doors. The room was quiet and I did not hear other guests. My king bed was very comfortable as were the pillows. There was a comfortable easy chair and ottoman. The a/c worked well and was unobtrusive. There was a micro, Keurig coffeemaker and small fridge in the room. Unfortunately, the fridge had no freezer section so I couldn’t refreeze my ice packets. Plenty of hot water, water pressure was good and the towels were large and thick enough in the bath. There is a very nice breakfast offered with eggs, potatoes, bacon, waffles, fresh fruit, yogurt and an ample assortment of other breakfast items. The Tamarisk Restaurant is a short walk across the street where, if you are seated in the right room, you will have an excellent dinner with a view of the Green River flowing by. From what I read from previous reviews, and my experience, the owner of this First Choice Inn has made a number of significant improvements from when this used to be a not highly rated Holiday Inn. You get a lot for your money here and I highly recommend the First Choice Inn at the Swell.

Not a single car on I-70, we rolled in late, about 2 AM. The desk staff was extremely courteous and friendly, although looking a bit tired himself. He showed us to an Executive King room which was pretty large, but the cleanliness was what really caught our eye. Very nicely equipped and large bathrooms, very clean as well. The showers were wonderfully hot and the beds were as if we were sleeping on air. It was super cold outside that night and the room kept very warm and cozy all throughout the night. We went to breakfast in the morning and it was awesome, scrambled eggs, sausage links and patties, bacon, omelettes, waffles, yogurt, oatmeal, fruit, etc. It was delicious. Since we came in late they even granted us a late check out free of charge. Amazing value and I wish I could say I've had more experiences like this one!

It was a wonderfully kept hotel. Everything in working condition, helpful staff and plentiful at breakfast. We enjoyed the heated pool and whirlpool along with our children. This used to be a Holiday Inn Express & Suites but they have really maintained the upkeep on this hotel - it matches any of the other branded hotels we usually stay at and we are Hilton Rewards/Marriott members. Very clean and it felt as if it was upscale- in comparison to many other hotels in the area. We will surely be back.

This is motel-style property, with easy access to your room from your car if you have a first floor room (but steps if you're on the second floor). Clean, relatively comfortable rooms, though does feel a bit dated. Well above average breakfast for hotels of this type. Friendly staff. Seemed a bit pricey, but probably worth it overall versus other options in the area.

Hi Deb, We love our furry travelers and their families at First Choice Inns at the Swell! We have a very minimal fee of $10 per night per pet. Please travel safely & we look forward to seeing you soon!
We have all interior corridors - I apologize but we do not have any rooms that enter from the parking lot. We do have the end of the corridor entrance, which, if you requested a room near that entrance, would be a very short walk from the parking area - please call the hotel directly and we will be more than happy to accommodate!
