our go to hotel when in the area, hotel staff are exceptional.
clean and comfortable.
breakfast is an ordinary hotel free breakfast, nothing to be excited about.
Coffee is excellent
stayed in an "accommodation" suite, trouble is, the shampoo and soap dispensers ate almost ceiling height.( see pics) being a person of disability, I could barely lift my arm high enough to use

I booked joined rooms so we could have 2 queen beds and 2 queen pull out couches for our family of 6. Upon arrival the pull out couch to one of our rooms was broken beyond use. I alerted the staff but it was late and they didn’t have any rooms that were joined they could move us too so we made a pallet on the floor for our son. I wasn’t happy about this but there really wasn’t anything that could be done. The next day was thanksgiving so they didn’t have anyone that could repair it and no where to move still. I left 2 kids at grandmas so they weren’t on the floor this night but felt frustrated we were paying for a second room now and had to make other arrangements for our kids. I brought this issue up to a manager who was very kind and helpful and understanding with my frustration. I asked if they would remove this second room from our bill and for the remainder of our stay we would not need the room and to remove it from our reservation. I feel like she went above and beyond in assisting me with the issue. I also must say I felt like they were very accommodating with the breakfast bar and the lady who kept up with it was very attentive with helping and keeping up. Very pleased overall even though I felt very upset at the beginning, I would definitely go back!

This was my first stay with this Hilton brand and I was pleasantly surprised. New, bright and airy feel; while billed as an extended stay chain, the rooms aren’t as spacious as a residence inn, but I certainly enjoyed the room for a one night stay.

Bed was comfortable but a bit soft, liked the Neutrogena bathroom products, lots of lights and charge/USB locations in the room.

Was also impressed with little things intended to personalize the experience, something I ask business partners to do in my daily job. For example, at check-in I was asked about the reason for my travel, even though a Hilton member with status. The morning manager at check out asked how far I was planning to drive today, as I mentioned at check-in that I was driving from Dallas to Washington to deliver a truck to my daughter. Nice touch .

Hotel was well-kept and was also a good value. Will certainly consider staying with this brand or in this location again.

The staff was friendly, the hotel is next to Biolife. The breakfast selection was very minimal, food was set out in a communal bowl. It did not feel very sanitary. The pool was too cold for us to use and staff said their was no way to adjust the temperature. In our room, a hair from a previous tenant was left in the coffee selection. And, the heating unit did not work.

We are staying in the Home2 Suites right now, and I'm thinking about leaving early. The lobby is full of guests without masks, and even the front desk staff weren't wearing them. One had the courtesy to pull hers up off her chin when I walked up, but the other staff person didn't even have one.

There are other issues with this hotel as well - it is really worn, stained carpet and furniture, in an unattractive area with a lot of freeway noise. But we can handle all that. The risk to our health - that's just not acceptable.

I travel frequently to the Layton area to visit my child who is in boarding school nearby, and the Home2 Suites is my go-to. However, based on this most recent trip, I will not be staying there again. Our reservation got messed up, they put us in a Queen room when we had reserved a King. The front desk staff was very argumentative with us that we had reserved the Queen and they had absolutely no king rooms available. When we got to the queen room they put us in, I found my confirmation statement that showed we had in fact reserved a king room. I went back to the desk and showed the manager who continued to argue with me that I must have changed the reservation. I was prepared to escalate the issue but she "talked to the housekeeping supervisor" and voila, a king room was available. She said the only one available was this particular room, was that OK? (Did we really have a choice? Was there something about that room that we should know??) So we changed rooms.
The room we moved to had a bathroom door that would neither stay open nor close all the way. The linens for the sofa bed (for our teenager) were thin and had holes in them. We had no hot water for two days (they did comp a night for us because of this). The dishwasher would turn on at random times to a powerwash cycle (this may have contributed to the hot water issue).

I understand things happen with reservations, and don't fault them for that. My issue is that the front desk manager was so rude and argumentative and not interested in finding a solution.

I have future trips planned to the Layton area and will be finding another property for my stays. At this time I am planning to remain loyal to Hilton and look for another Hilton property but I haven't rule out changing to another brand.

My week at the Home2 Layton has one of the best Hilton experiences I've ever had. Jocelyn is the sweetest, most personable concierge I've ever met. She has created a safe and comfortable community among the folks who stay here, knows us all by name (which is so rare these days, even at high end properties!) We are Gold members, and have visited HGV's, Hilton properties, and Home2 hotels nationwide. THIS IS THE BEST. We even extended our stay a few extra nights because I felt so secure and appreciated as a guest. Way to go, Home2, and thank you Jocelyn and staff for creating a memorable experience here in Utah!

Dirty room, dirty bathroom, filthy couch cushions, horribly uncomfortable bed in a bedroom that the thermostat was broken in so room was overheated. Breakfast subpar with dried out pastries and watery oatmeal. Loud construction noises in the morning. Don't stay here.

Why three stars? The miserable bed. I’ve slept on firm mattresses before, but these beds are like plywood with a fitted sheet over it. Absolutely horrible. The free ‘hot’ breakfast is not that hot. The selection was good. The concept is good, but failed on execution. The food was barely warm. This is not only unappetizing, but dangerous from a food handling perspective. *positive note, all staff that I encountered were very nice and helpful. Boston went out of his way to be professional and hospitable.
