There are numerous buildings on the grounds, but I can only speak to the one we were in, which was quiet, comfortable, and had a nice view (room 96). The hotel had an older but elegant setting. It costs a bit more than the local Holiday Inn Express (our usual haunt most times when on the road) without the breakfast,... More

This place has so much potential. It is is cute, quaint, and in a small resort town...however, the rooms are older and very modest and overpriced for what they are. Nothing fancy whatsoever. We stayed in the Barn building and it was for sure minimal and rustic. There was mold and mildew in the shower and the maid service did... More

When Salt Lake hotels were all but sold out (only rooms for $300+ night available) we started searching in a 30-40 minute radius for a hotel. The Homestead was one of the few that came up and we jumped on it as we were desperate for a room. What a pleasant surprise when we arrived at the resort! The grounds... More

Jamie and the staff made our stay at the Homestead a memorable and extraordinary experience. She kept in contact with us, offered suggestions, and helped us plan a wonderful reunion. In a day and age when individuals in the hosting industry can be so business like and impersonal, it was refreshing to work with Jamie and see her genuine interest... More

The resort is unique with several small buildings and beautiful grounds. That being said our cottage was old. The carpets outside the doors were missing and bare wood and splinters showing. Inside we felt it was updated but lacked good upgrades. The bed was extremely comfy but that was it. The bathroom was horrific. The sink and tub were stained,... More

I agree with the other posters who said that this is more of a "family place" than a romantic place. You can definitely tell that this is a place for extended families to come on vacation. Very "Dirty Dancing"-esc (you know without all of the sleeping around part...) with all of the activities and things to do in a wholesome... More

It started with reservations that were wrong after we had checked them a in advance- downhill from there. Our party ended up in 3 different buildings. They do keep the grounds nice at the expense of customer service. The grounds are not very accessible for strollers. Our room at 10pm is still close to 80 degrees. The "nicer" restaurant only... My wife and I stayed at the Homestead for 4 days, 3 nights. We took part in both Fanny's Grill and their classier Simon's Restaurant. Both places were wonderful to eat. Fanny's is a bit more home style and family friendly, while SImon's is a place meant more for adults with a very delicious menu. Their Activity Center offers all... More

We stayed in the Bunkhouse. It did include a mini fridge at a great price. Our grandsons loved the privacy of the separate room with Bunk-beds. The experience was wonderful from the Reservationist to the cleaning crew. The Front Desk was very helpful and even went out of their way to help us find a local church. The manager of... More

Pretty nice room, but for the price it should have had a mini fridge included. Maid service was just "meh", and there are things you'd expect that are just not up to snuff. Want ice? Good luck! Most of the buildings either don't have an ice machine, or it doesn't work. Want pool towels? Maybe there will be some, and... More
