The famcamp is located right of the main highway so there’s a lot of road noise. The RVs are parked back to back with about 6-8 feet of space between them. Feels like an overloaded parking lot. Not much privacy unless you keep your blinds closed. They have many amenities and are just a few blocks from the commissary and Exchange.

Stopped at FamCamp without reservations on a Sunday evening. Checked in with the camp host who was very nice. Was able to get a spot for two nights. Grounds and Sites were very nice. Laundry was very nice, showers could use some updating. Being a Fighter Base and Depot it was a bit noisy at times. That’s the Sound of Freedom! Can never beat the price and people at FamCamps. Would definitely make reservations next time.

Better than some places that charge $20.00/ night. Easy off interstate access. WiFi only in clubhouse but it works good. There are some structural concerns with this campground, utilities are not always close to your unit. Could use more big rig sites. We were placed in a small site because they lost our reservation.(keep those confirmation emails, it works). At 40' we were placed nose to nose with another 40'- less than two feet between us. Close to shopping, medical and attractions

Stayed in one of yhe back to back spots - awful! If we were any closer we’d be inside the neighbors camper. WiFi is basically unusable. 50
Amp outlet was not working. Good point was fitness center is across the street and the views from base are wonderful.

There's not a single thing I can complain about here. The bathrooms are spotless, all the laundry machines were brand new. And the grounds are well-kept and clean. The staff is friendly and more than willing to help out. I will definitely recommend coming back to this famcamp.

Wifi doesn't work anywhere in the park
We arrived after hours and we didn't have the codes for the bathrooms. When we made the reservation we should have gotten the codes.
Laundry room is dirty something I didn't expect at a military facility
It had snowed the night before we got there and our concrete spot hadn't been plowed. So we ended up getting set up in a dangerous situation which got worse the next morning. Where we had walked was now slippery ice.
Office hours are a joke. No one answers the phone. We left a message about wanting a spot. The FamCamp employee called back but wouldn't leave a message so we worried until finally someone answered the phone.
The Base Commander should inspect this property and operations. The FamCamp creates a bad impression of Hill AFB.

This was a great fam camp in a very busy area. The pull through sites are very nice and so is the facilities like restroom and laundry room. The camp host was not very present but people kept to themselves. The camp was full hook up for most sites, it was close to commissary and PX.
Outside the base- everything so close. Some sites on the fam camp are close to the main road and very noisy.
The best thing about the pull through spots is that they are on a walking track used by active duty. There is a water park, dog park, and was very nice to stay for the Memorial Day weekend.

Great location right at the South Gate. Full hookups, paved pads, picnic table at each site, dog park, right on a walking trail, close to a large splash pad for kids and a nice play park.
Sites are without grass or trees, rocks separate each site from another.
BEWARE, and I’m not kidding, you aren’t allowed to eat at the Hillcrest DFAC as a retiree! My wife just went there and one of the staff came up to me and said it is only allowed on special occasions like Christmas. I couldn’t believe my ears!
Close to base commissary and BX and close to base chapel.
Nice restrooms and laundry facility - $1/load.
Staff were very pleasant.

When my family and I arrived for our 7 day tent camping trip at Hill AFB fam camp we were highly disappointed. We were given and gravel square lot that you could not stake down so we had no Secure way protect our belongings and of course our 12 person tent and everything in was flipped upside down and mangled air mattresses popped all this happened the 2 day so needless to say the manager who was absolutely no help or cared about helping me and my children retrieve our belongings so we could find shelter for the remaining nights. As we struggle to get everything out of our mangled tent people would just watch the struggle and make comments about how sad. The last 2 days the amazing camp host husband and wife thought us sleeping in the car was horrible and rented a pop-camper for us. The camp host are amazing people caring. The manager is rude didn’t care about the campers. The camp host trying really hard to clean and do all they could. Suggest do not get lot D if you don’t want it to sound like your in the highway median. The road traffic outside the gate is horrible if you tent camp.

The sites are gravel and very unlevel. Your are sharing the same water source with two othe campers. The drinking water is extremely dirty. After one day, my water filter was so dirty that had to change after the first day. Most on the sites do not get satellite reception. When I came into the office to register, I heard the manager being very rude to his staff. It was embarrassing to listen to him talking to the employees. I found him to be less courteous to me. If I had another place to go, I would have.
This is suppose to be a professional run camping facility. The manager has been there a long time and from his actions, he should retire!,,, As a retired officer, I have not experienced this rude of a person at any of the Famcamps we have visited.
There are a lot of long term campers there. The one bright part was when we interacted with camp host. She was very helpful.
