Hotel's Favourite
We spent 1 night here while on a trip. I was a little wary from the negative reviews, but am so glad I ignored them! The hotel is beautiful, the staff are friendly and helpful, the room is updated and clean, the bed is comfortable with firm and soft pillows to choose from, and the breakfast buffet has plenty of options. Yes, the parking is around the corner, but they have 2 loading zones by the entrance and the walk is short.
We checked in 2 days before on the app and were able to choose our room. We chose one on the top floor facing the interior. Not much of a view but it was quiet, which was important to us.
We'll definitely stay here again when in Ogden.

This Hampton Inn surpassed our expectations. From the moment we checked in (thank you Taylor for being so sweet) to our room (a 1 bedroom king suite) to the parking and then the breakfast (hot items included) I can only say that these folks know how to manage a hotel. We stayed for 4 nights and were happy to have had the 1 bedroom suite which was not much more costly than the studio suite and gave us a degree of privacy and flexibility. And, located in the center of Ogden it was easy to walk to restaurants, movies, and shops.

The staff is friendly and efficient. The building is a beautiful historic one. The beds are comfortable, and the rooms seemed to be ADA-compliant...there was definitely enough space in the bathroom for a wheelchair, which is rare for that to actually be true even when a business claims it is. (My sister was in a wheelchair for a time and confirms this.) I appreciated the little touches like full-size soap and lotion, shampoo and conditioner and shower gel. The room and bathroom were attractively decorated, and the beds were comfortable. The free breakfast was one of the best I've experienced at any hotel and was much more than the pastries and toast that most places have...you can get a frittata, sausage, yogurt, make your own waffles, etc. Parking is in a garage behind the building, but it's a very short walk and we didn't mind it even in the rain. Overall, it was a stay well worth the money, and I'd do it again if I needed to go to Ogden.

This hotel is handicap accessible, BUT the only parking is 1 1/2 - 2 blocks away and in a dark parking garage that is in an alley. They don't offer valet parking. You have to carry anything you want to take into the hotel 2 blocks. And if you want to go anywhere after dark, you have to walk to your car in the dark alley and garage. We asked for a non smoking room and the room they gave us had been smoked in. They said all their rooms are non smoking and they would send someone up to spray. The room is nice but the hassle to get to it isn't worth it.

We just stayed one night passing through town on a road trip. Given COVID-19 we were nervous about he cleanliness of the hotel.
I booked with the Hilton app and unfortunately the inside room it selected was not "stickered" to show that had been fully cleaned to the new Hilton standard. It clearly was not, as the toilet had not been cleaned and the carpet was not vacuumed. It was easy enough to get another room, but unfortunately we learned later that street side room we received has it's own issue on the weekends!
Apparently is an Ogden tradition to cruise Main Street on Friday and Saturday nights and rev your Harley and Hot Rods right in front of the hotel! It was so loud! That really sucks if you want to go to sleep before midnight!
What was worse was after we mentioned it to the front desk in the morning, they knew all about it and said the inside rooms are much quieter. A little late for us I guess..

Noisy, dirty, service nonexistent. I’ve been working in Ogden every other week since May 2021 this was the first and will be the last stay at this hotel. I am scheduled to be back 7/5-8. The hotel is used a a sleep over spot for youth activities in the adjoining conference center. The staff mixes the groups with other guests instead of separating them by floors. Don’t expect a good night’s sleep at this hotel. Room clean service was done once during a 8 night stay even though it had been requested at day 3 for day four. Was finally cleaned on the last day after the cleaning staff was leaving the floor. Save yourself some aggravation and stay somewhere else in Ogden.

Great hotel, and a super helpful and welcoming staff. Stayed for a month on business and was very satisfied. Hotel staff walked up and down the stairs during an emergency power outage caused by a wreck in complete darkness to personally open our rooms since the electronic keys didn’t work. I know the staff got their literal steps in that day and they also gained my loyalty through their dedication!

We stayed at the Hampton Inn and Suites Saturday, December 2 to Sunday, December 3, 2023.
I thought I asked enough questions before we went, however, I was somewhat disappointed to find out the pool was completely and permanently out of service.
The Conference Center next door has an entrance from the lobby of the Hampton Inn. The front of the Conference Center was under construction, so there is scaffolding over the sidewalk. The path to the parking garage is on the other side of the Egyptian Theater and is not covered from the elements. The parking is charged at $6 per day. There is an elevator in the parking garage.
There is an unloading zone at the front door of the Hampton Inn and they have self- service carts you can take to you car. It is best to unload your vehicle and have only the driver take the car to the parking garage behind the hotel. Guests are given a monthly rate access key, which they can use for the duration of their stay.
Our room was on the second floor, facing the Wells Fargo Building. The heater was running most of the night. Expect traffic noise, because you are on a busy intersection in the middle of town.
The breakfast area was well hidden from view until the morning. Hot Chocolate and coffee is available all hours of the day. If you have stayed at any Hampton Inn, you have a good idea of what was available for breakfast.

+1
This location is not meeting the expectations I have for Hampton Inn, from having to wait over four hours for a room, to tired and stained furniture, to having no way to contact front desk staff, this was a disappointing stay.
I admittedly was early, arriving at noon. I had already selected 3pm for check-in. That time came and went. Many people were waiting for their rooms. The front desk staff were actually involved in turning over the rooms. I did not get into my room until 4:15pm, more than four hours after I arrived and more than an hour after my scheduled check-in time. There did not appear to be much control over the place as I noticed a homeless man come in and sit down in the lobby. They held my bags but there was no check system to verify who’s bags belonged to who. Furniture in the lobby was filthy and the carpet had not been vacuumed in a long time. As an Honors Gold member, I’m supposed to get a free snack and bottle of water upon arrival. I was told they didn’t do that any more despite the fact that the app still offers it as an option. On multiple occasions, no one was at the front desk. There was no bell or other way to get their attention aside from yelling. I resorted to calling the front desk to get their attention. On one occasion, the phone rang for a solid five minutes before I gave up. Thankfully they walked up at that point. Maintenance is an issue. There is a garbage can sitting on a table in the breakfast area due to a ceiling leak; the sign, which was horribly wrinkled from water indicates it’s been there quite a while. The room was tired, with many tears and stains in the wallpaper. The sofa had been re-upholstered, for what reason I can’t imagine. The Wifi was slow and kept prompting me for my info every 24 hours whereas previous Hilton properties only does it every three or four days. Some of the staff do genuinely seem to want to help and are trying, but there is a severe manpower shortage and not enough effort is going into the the hotel’s upkeep.

Our stay at this hotel was very pleasant. The hotel is in a great downtown location and we were very impressed with how it was decorated; we felt like we were in a high-end hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. Even though our room was located over a busy street, it was very quiet. The bed was comfortable (and I loved the way the bathroom was designed). We would definitely stay at this hotel again.

I don’t know. I used valet parking and didn’t go into the garage. I bet the hotel would answer your question though.
Hi CoCo Doug,
Thank you for your clarification, I appreciate you taking the time to reply. I am glad you liked the view from your room.
I hope you will visit again, we will make up for the parking this time around.
Sincerely,
Debbie

We ask that you park in the loading zone near the entrances to the hotel either on 24th ST or Washington Blvd and check in. We will then give you instructions to the parking as well as a card that will allow you access to the bigger parking garage. that parking is complimentary.
