Great location. Staff is great from breakfast staff to bar tender and waiter at dinner to front desk. They were always on top of our needs. Good location for Ogden near cool restaurant, shopping and river.

And unlike many downtown hotels in sizable towns, you're not stuck with paid and/or valet parking. There's plenty of free parking in the hotel's own garage right behind the place.

The rooms are big, spotless, and comfy, and you can't beat the location in a really neat Western city worth exploring. The views right down the street of the Wasatch Range are spectacular, and we're told the skiing nearby is superb. (We're not skiers.)

The breakfasts are very good but not lavish. Ask for berries from your server, for instance, as there are none out. No other real surprise extras — cottage cheese, hash, lunch meat, etc. — either. (I know, grits? This is Utah, not Louisiana, but one can hope.)

There are several of zippy little (and marginally useful ones) — but somewhere they found a heavier, sturdier, longer version that actually carry more than a couple of backpacks.

One big downside — someone with poor taste or judgment figured LOUD music in the dining room would be enjoyable and (perhaps) pump up business. Wrong, wrong. The hosts graciously turned it down for us at breakfast, but as we passed the restaurant at night, it was absolutely blaring. That would ruin a meal, at least for those who want to hear each other rather than some rock star.

All in all, though, a great place worth a visit.

We had to make a road trip during this difficult COVID-19 pandemic and wanted to stay at the safest places we could find. The information provided by Hilton looked very reassuring especially if using the Hilton app. We were able to make the reservation, do a contactless checkin, obtain a virtual room key on my cell phone, and do a contactless check out. The staff were all wearing masks. Most of the guest wore masks. The room door had a seal indicating that it had been disinfected and no one had entered the room after disinfecting it. The room looked and smelled clean with a lingering (but not unpleasant) disinfectant scent. The room was very comfortable and quiet. The bathroom was very clean with nice amenities. The coffee maker offered several choices for beverages. All in all we felt comfortable and had the sense that the Hilton Garden Inn was concerned about our comfort AND safety. We will return if again in that area.

We were recently in Roy for a family memorial service. We wanted to stay in downtown Ogden so we would be in walking distance to restaurants, etc. The location was OK; just a couple of blocks from the historic main drag where most restaurants are located.
As soon as we walked in the lobby we were hit with a strong smell of disinfect like in cheap hotels. We should of left at that point. Our room was dark with worn tired old furnishings. It smelled so bad with the strong odor of disinfectant. My husband and I were both choking and I was having an allergic reaction. We went down to front desk to switch rooms. We looked at the room on same floor and it was a tad brighter and did not smell. In the 5-10 minutes it hook to switch our luggage they came in the new room and sprayed. They then admitted to this and we were choking again and we literally could not breath. We had to prop the door open with our suitcases. The furniture was old and I would definitely not walk on that old carpet in bare feet. We did not have time to change hotels.Bed was comfortable. Breakfast next AM was IK. Servers or anyone else not wearing masks. When we checked out after our two day stay they took $20.00 off the bill. Room was $171.00 plus various room taxes. Definitely not worth the money at any price due to the horrible smell that finally dissipated and old worn out furnishings.

I stayed at this hotel for two nights while in town on business and was pleased at my stay. Sometimes, when a hotel is centrally located in a downtown area, it compensates for this location by having decreased quality, but happily, that is not the case with this hotel. The checkin process was smooth, with a friendly staff member there to assist - Sofia was fantastic! The room was serviceable, with a comfortable bed and plenty of space. My window had a nice view of the downtown area. The bathroom was a bit small, but still functional and had everything I needed. The hotel offers breakfast, although it's not free, and they do offer free parking. Due to COVID-19, they only offer housecleaning upon request during your stay.

We came in Thursday night stayed at one hotel and decided to change hotels because of the noise level . Came to the Hilton Garden Inn in Ogden UTah . When we got their the front desk associates were rude had attitude and didn’t acted like they didn’t want to be bothered . Are rooms were not ready waited 45 mins for one and a hour for the other . Rooms were not very big especially the bathrooms . Internet wouldn’t work on our phones , tv wouldn’t work until we had to go down and ask for help and price wasn’t the best for what we got . They were a pack house and didn’t have enough works to accommodate all guest . Didn’t have enough supplies for guest and over all the experience was not so good . We stay in Ogden quiet a few times in the year and the other hotels may have more noise but the staff and accommodations are a lot better !!!!!

Great location downtown Ogden with lots of good restaurants. Front desk staff is fantastic and very polite. Rooms are in good shape, just make sure to let them know that you need cleaning service otherwise no one comes. The only drawback was the breakfast staff, somewhat oblivious of the guests and in some cases you get completely ignored.

Great hotel, not too far from main freeway. Clean and well maintained surroundings. Reception very helpful at check in, gave us a room near the side building entrance door and he even brought a luggage cart to the door for us. Covid-19 precautions were in place. We stayed here to avoid Salt Lake City and Provo, where the infections are at a surge.
Our room was very clean and roomy with a small sofa and good amenities. Can't ask for more.
Dinner was take out from a Japanese restaurant around the corner, one of very many to choose from. Can.t go wrong with this location.

Just getting into this place parking our car. Just felt unsafe to leave it there, you had to walk from the back parking garage to the front of the hotel with all your stuff not so easy. Then we got to our room. Super dark and very dated. The bathroom one of the lights would not work as well as the bathroom fan was broken. It seemed dirty and old. Then when we wanted to turn on the air conditioning it was so loud I am thankful it wasn’t in the middle of summer. They do not include breakfast with this hotel. The bed was smaller than the frame of the bed. my boyfriend and I kept running into it we both did twice I still have giant goose egg on my leg. it was like the bed frame stuck out to far and to crowded to get around it. The room seemed dirty and dingy. Bad smell came out of the bathroom drain. The curtains were even stained and dirty. Trip adviser called this one of the best traveler hotel. That is why my boyfriend booked it. We also heard noise from someone above us like at 5 am. We were exhausted ! Please avoid this hotel we are Hilton honor members and I think some Hilton hotels are not up to very high standards. Very disappointed! I am telling you please avoid this hotel it’s not nice they should call it 1/2 a star.

At $200 per night (which included taxes) we expected a better room, it was really expensive for the quality. The bed was hard as a brick. Room service was extremely expensive and the food was really spicy. Never again.

Only service animals are allowed, no personal pets. There are other Hilton chains that do allow pets (with deposit) so keep checking that area. I've traveled with my pets and stayed in Hilton chains and I've always had a good experience!
