Whew, well.. there were ants in the bed, the sheets had dirt rubbed from the wall, the ice bucket has visible food remnants, the toilet had dung clung to the porcelain, and the wall jam had an unknown substance but it looked like dried phlegm. I surprised my family with a swing by visit not realizing it is the weekend of the quilt walk <facepalm>. I received a referral to this motel from it’s sister company. Booked it, no problem. I was glad to find a dog friendly room on short notice during a festival. I arrived, the gal at the front desk was matter of fact but still helpful. I reported the ants. She collected them. I folded down the blanket to put down my pillow, the sheets were dirty so I didn’t. I folded the sheet back up to she where the dirt came from. It was the wall. I bumped the microwave cart and knocked over the ice bucket, there is visible food remnants. Okay, they don’t have ice anyway. I resolved to change my mindset and count this as camping. I had to piddle something fierce. I went into the bathroom. The shower is old np. I lift the the toilet seat; I’m out. I’m done. I can’t. Fecal matter all over the porcelain. I can’t make this stuff up. I return to the front office. I’m polite but firm. The gal goes to verify my concern, okay fine np. She takes pictures, assigns fault on the cleaners, I suggest maybe it’s just a training issue. There are no more rooms. Bummer. I’m now left to camping out in my jeep or on my parents floor. Ugh. Here’s the deal. At the very least motel/ hotel bathrooms have to be clean, they can be old, but they have to be clean. If they get their act together, I’d consider staying again.

Perfect for the trip and best value for what I needed. Quaint little Motel in beautiful Panguitch. The staff member was very kind and helpful. I was only here for about 7 hours but it certainly fit the bill.

Is bare bones, but had the lowest price with the highest reviews in that price range for me in 7-2019. MGT was great. Clean. Is a worn property. Has new MGT as of 1-2019, and I learned they are updating property. Super FAST internet. My king bed was SUPER cozy. No parking for a big rigs/towing, you will parking on the shoulder of the road. Super quiet area. Not within walking distance to the "down town historic" blocks of Panguitch. I would stay again. Thank you Best Host Inn.

As bare bones as you can get. It was clean. Although the room reeked of cleaning chemicals all night long. My poor dogs were sneezing and rubbing their noses from the moment we walked into the room. Old style TV, but who cares. Bed was as basic as could be, but not worn out or anything. Pillows were ok. Curtains were nowhere near blackout so plan on getting up with the sun. When I saw the $45 price, I decided to give them a try. And if that were the total price, it might be worth a stay. But by the time there was a pet fee and taxes added, we were at $70 which is about double what the place is worth. Replace the carpet with laminate or something so there isn't the need to douse the old carpet with cleaners to cover up whatever is they are hiding and I could give a higher rating. But having your nose burn all night from the overpowering scent was quite uncomfortable. I can't imagine what my dogs thought.

We stayed for one night only. The place is old but freshly painted and very clean. We were not expecting the Ritz-Carlton or anything. They are in the middle of upgrading the property. For the price it was a great place to stop and sleep. The management was very friendly, kind and helpful.
