Detailed Reviews
Where to begin?! This resort is so beautiful and exactly what you would imagine when thinking about relaxing in a cozy cabin in the snow. Our room had a perfect view of the ski lift from our balcony right next to our gas fireplace! The bed was SO COMFY and the dual shower-heads in the shower were absolutely something to write home about. To top all of this off I did not encounter one staff who was anything less than outgoing, happy and helpful. When I called to order room service (the room was too beautiful to leave) I was pleasantly surprised by the perky and helpful man on the other end of the line. This was only outdone by the reasonable price and absolute deliciousness of the food when it showed up. I would absolutely recommend this hotel whether you are a skier or just want to enjoy the snow in a cozy resort while your friends bundle up and take on the mountains! My only disappointment was the spa. The service was terrible and the facilities are just OK. The best part of my spa day was the outdoor heated pool and jacuzzi and you don't need the spa to enjoy that. In spite of my yucky spa experience I still think this resort deserves 5 huge stars!

My husband and I were pleasantly impressed with the facility. The 2 bedroom suite we stayed in had beautiful views of the mountain. It was quiet and quite spacious. We had 2 fireplaces and a balcony, and the king room bath had two shower heads! The kitchen was fully stocked with a coffee maker, pots and pans and dishes. I couldn't believe you could purchase some groceries in the lobby shop, making it unnecessary to have a car and run to the grocery for basic meals. While we didn't do that, we did enjoy the coffee shop and prepared food that was available there, and tried the restaurant take out food also.
The space is more than enough room for an entire family and we definitely plan to return with the kids. We loved the heated pool/jacuzzi and the workout room. We did not try the spa although it is nice to know it was available. And while we didn't ski this visit, I was pleased to see the hotel was literally right next to the gondola and had the best ski-in/ski-out access to the mountain I could expect. There is free ski storage and it looked like lessons left right from the lobby. This is going to be our ski destination of choice, but we might try it in the summer also (the golf course looked promising).

We spent 5 days here to celebrate our daughter's upcoming birthday and had such a wonderful time. The staff was amazing and made sure that our stay was exactly what we planned if not better. Upon arrival we were greeted with 2 wonderful and friendly staff members who helped us get situated in our room quickly so that we can enjoy our first day there without waisting any time. My husband and daughter did 3 days of skiing after that in which they were able to explore the mountains and trails for my 10 year old daughter's first time but not without help. The staff took the time to help them customize their experience and gear it towards trails that would leave her wanting more improved her skills and confidence to hit new slopes. Edward White in particular we have to thank for that. We also slept in a cozy room overlooking the beautiful views and I was able to watch my husband and daughter ski down in the warmth of the walls around me. In a room so comfy that I was able to relax, read, unwind, watch my family and appreciate the view. Much thanks to Dani Pena she made this all possible for me who doesn't ski nor like the cold weather. Beverlee Gala helped us check out easily, advised us when planning our dinners and making sure that our accommodations were in order at all times. Those that were working in Valet tried thier best to assist us in reaching our destinatioms and excursions on time. Eddie in particular and others that were called to drive us made us feel comfortable answered any questions we had about our destinations or Utah in general and also helped us appreciate all that we saw on the way. Thank you for all that you have done to make this birthday getaway for our daughter so special. We will definitely be back! 😊

Pros: location location location! Comfortable. Friendly staff. Nice views. Good restaurant on 2nd floor
Cons: staff clueless. Kitchen cabinets falling off hinges. Had to wait 45 minutes for our shower to get hot (no exaggeration). No lockers. Shuttle system is a joke! If you’re headed to grocery store, pick up toilet paper unless you prefer sandpaper. Being on 2nd floor is nice but don’t stay in a room number lower than 220 or you will have a very long walk in ski boots. For the price, not sure it was totally worth it.

Had a 1-bedroom suite. The room was clean and large. Perfect location in the Canyons Village. Well stocked kitchen...cooking utensils, dishes, pans, etc. Staff very friendly.
Just had buses with their engines running right outside our window starting at 6:00 every morning. And then construction noises like circular saws and hammers starting at 7:00 every morning, even Saturday. We were looking forward to not having our kids and sleeping in. Don't plan on being able to sleep in. Wish they would have mentioned the construction across the street on their website when booking.

Pros - location unbeatable for ski in/out and rentala, friendly staff, easy ski storage, nice pool. Most of all, fantastic room layout (we had 1BR) with renovated baths, kitchens and gas fireplaces for drying wet mittens. Cool oversized daybeds for kids next to fireplace. Would highly recommend, esp at half rate of luxury hotels, unless you need fawning service. Red Tail restaurant was even OK if you don’t want to get dressed to go outside.
Cons - Obviously spent a ton on reno but went cheap on doors, sound attenuation btwn rooms and to hallway was bad and avoidable with different doors. Also mattress was comically soft, that could’ve just been our room but not sure, would cross check with other reviews.

We had a great stay at the Grand Summit. The location is excellent for ski-in / ski-out. The rooms are a bit dated but feature a full / operational kitchen which comes in handy when skiing. The pool and hot tub are nice. My one complaint about the hotel is the staff almost feels inexistent. There wasn’t someone at the ski locker and we ended up putting our skis in our room. You are never really greeted by anyone and the complimentary car is always busy. I would recommend staying here if you are a low maintenance family and don’t require a lot of service.

Great location, walking out to skiing lifts. But hotel room was low value for money (we stayed the week before Christmas, when prices were higher than normal). The electricity in half the room malfunctioned daily, necessitating a call to facilities (who came quick and resolved the issue; apparently a poor fuse in the hallway). Not sure if we return; while location cannot be beaten, expectation for room facilities and overall comfort fell below the bar for the daily room cost.

Grand Summit Hotel, offers the best location. Ski-in and ski-out. Walk from your room to the lifts in less than 2 minutes. The staff were professional, friendly and genuine. Every employee we encountered were greeted us, smiled, and delivered excellent customer service. We had a corner suite. It was larger than most suites. The VIEWS ! The room offered unbridled panoramic views of the mountain, slopes and village. The hotel is located within the canyons village. The village offers a few restaurants, I suggest you make reservations, as during peak meal times, they all can be crowded and wait times can be long. Murdock's has the best varieties and delicious hot chocolates. There are a few equipment rental stores within the village. The hotel has a spa, but only offers limited options. The fitness center is big and provides enough equipment to have a good workout while on vacation. Overall, this is a great spot, and I am looking forward to returning.

We stayed here for a snowboarding trip during Spring Break in March of 2021.
What an excellent choice. We took an Uber from the airport, which for 3 people ended up costing about $100. Other than the lack of a hotel shuttle, the stay was wonderful.
We chose a one-bedroom suite with a mountain view. It had a small kitchen, dining nook, sitting area with a sofa, and a bedroom with a queen bed.
The hotel is adjacent to the gondola and orange bubble lift, as well as the ski and snowboard rentals and restaurants. Kuchu Shabu is a great ramen restaurant. Red Tail Grill is a good place for a quick bite.
There is a nearby bus stop and the city bus is free of charge. Don't count on Uber or Lyft to get to downtown Park City or to the airport.
We would definitely return to stay here again.

A small one just south of Edge Steakhouse and across the street, to the north, of the Pedry.

No, but front desk will provide you with info on options and assist with booking a shuttle.
No but reasonable room service options exist and there is an on site cafe and buffet.
