We planned to celebrate Thanksgiving with family in Deer Valley until a few family members became ill with the flu. We were unable to travel from out of state/plane and called the hotel to cancel our reservation. The cancellation policy is very firm and they didn't have any flexibility. This is not our typical experience with higher end hotels and is disappointing. It was not possible to take our toddlers with the flu on a plane and vacation.
This hotel is first rate, the rooms, the service, the amenities, etc. We felt so pampered! The rooms are clean and fresh, the staff is caring. We did the complimentary hike one day and loved it. We went bowling and our son had a blast!
This resort is beautiful! The rooms are clean and comfortable! We were a little disappointed in the restaurant availability. During the day the coffee shop closes at 2:00 and two restaurants were undergoing construction. We wanted a snack and a beverage and were told room service was our only option. The boutique has beautiful clothing. Thank you to Luke who made our trip amazing. He went above and beyond to make sure our stay was great!
Beware if renting the One Bedroom Residence at the Montage Deer Valley. These units are supposed to have a coat closet for storage of luggage, coats, wet clothes etc. Residence 881 has a locked coat closet so only hanging space is clothes closet. Request 861 as it's coat closet is not locked. Management does not care about the inconvenience and only suggested we pay more to stay in a different residence.
Beautiful location and wonderful facilities. Going during the Fall time frame made it extra special. The staff treated us very well. The lounges, bars, rooms, pools, spa, and specifically, the ambience, are hard to beat. Apex restaurant was the one disappointment - overpriced and food quality was average.
I was on a trip with my family, the hotel was fine, the facilities, the room, in general terms everything you expect from a hotel like Montage, my only concern and displeasure was with this character, Pete, I think is his name, I happened to call the front desk to ask for general information and this character had an aggressive attitude towards me and in a way I feel he disrespected me, the next night I met another person who was staying at the hotel and she told me she had the same problem with this character, she went to the front desk to ask for something and this Pete just had an aggressive attitude and was waving his hands around, I can see this is a repetitive attitude of this character, and from what I could read in the reviews of the hotel, I am not the only person who has had problems with this person, and it is mentioned in some bad reviews of the hotel, and the hotel has done nothing about it, this person only harms the image of the hotel, I still wonder how this person is still hired, taking into account that this is in a position that is the image of the hotel.…
You will find the staff at this location is amazing. They will really go out of their way to accommodate your request. They do it because they genuinely care for their patrons. They are very dog friendly here. We had breakfasts and dinners every night during our stay at the Apex and the food and services were consistently wonderful.
We came here in Fall, mostly because we knew the weather would be lovely and it would still be pool weather. Oh wow, we had a blast. Food and drinks were fabulous, rooms were amazing and I have to say, the pool (heated) and hot tubs were the best - easy to share with others but also super quite this time of year. We can't wait to go back.
We experienced a beautiful outdoor wedding ceremony with an extraordinary reception. Great service in a perfect mountain setting. The surrounding mountains and hiking trails made the trip for the wedding even more memorable.
Everyone at Deer Valley Montage treated us like royalty. From planning the trip to the last second of the trip we were pampered and treated so kindly. This is unlike any other experience. The staff really focuses on the details and ensured our stay was memorable.
