The staff are beyond top notch, they actually take care of you - as if you were a relative. Rhiannon, Kimmy, Sean & CONNOR all went above/beyond to make me happy I chose Goldener Hirsch! Not ski in/ski out, but free storage & help carrying skis out to the snow.  Welcome plate of cookies on arrival, free water daily. Chocolate chip cookies & hot chocolate daily 3-5 pm. Free morning coffee & baked goods (chocolate/raspberry muffins, iced scones, coffee cake, etc); attached restaurant is very good. Free wifi, cable TV (reception spotty @ times). Rooms are large (most are huge actually), with charming alpine decor, Keurig, tea, mini fridge, no microwave, safe, iron/board, humidifier. Comfortable bed, big squishy pillows, dimmable bedside lamps. Large bathroom with separate tub/shower, lighted makeup mirror, shampoo/conditioner/gel/soap/lotion/q-tips, etc. Nice robes/slippers.

After creating memories at the Goldener Hirsch in Austria many years ago, we decided to try the Goldener Hirsch in Deer Valley as a destination for our 50th Anniversary. Due to Covid, a large family trip was cancelled, but we still wanted to make this experience unique. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay the best possible. The room was impeccably clean, our bikes were safely stored when not in use, and we were made to feel like royalty. Dinner in the world class Goldener Hirsch Restaurant was awesome and we even got a special treat from the Inn to put our stay over the top. Thanks to the attentive staff for exceeding all our expectations.

However, the reason for this five star review is mostly because of the amazing team. We were lucky enough to stay for over a week and during this time we have felt like family. There are too many incredible people to mention, and I am sure I am forgetting a few but I would like a special shout out to Miri, Taylor, Raymond, Piler, Amanda, Ryan, Harrison, Richard, Andrew, Wendy and Rafael. Of course, the friendly and consistent housekeeping team have also been wonderful, as has the food service team.

I had one of the best experiences ever at the Goldener Hirsch Inn. The service staff was exceptionally friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Everyone went out of their way to make me feel comfortable and any request was promptly acknowledged and fulfilled. The room was spacious and extremely clean. The hotel offered cookies upon arrival, chocolates on my pillow every night and the hot chocolate and fresh warm cookies in the afternoon were a welcome treat. The concierge graciously made reservations for our party for dinners, which helped so much. Lastly, the property participated in a transportation system for free to guests of Goldener Hirsch Inn. It was prompt and would drop off and pick up from anywhere within 3 miles of the property. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Deer Valley and will definitely go back.

So i went with my husband and a couple of friends for dinner. We had heard alot about the Cheese Fondue, so of course we ordered that, which was pretty fancy thing on the table. Appetizers: 1)Cheese fondue came with a plate of Broccoli, grapes, apples, pickles. It tasted pretty great with everything.So that was my favourite. 2)The Bavarian Pull apart bread was excellent,soft and fluffy! For Entrees: We ordered 1)Beef Kavalierspitz ( it was decent good) 2)Utah Lamb Loin 2)Rocky mountain Elk Tenderloin 4)Ranger's Valley Wagyu Eye of Ribeye

My husband and I had the best time staying at the Goldener Hirsch Inn. The service was 1st class from check in to check out. The ambience made you feel like you were in Switzerland or Austria. It is located just steps from the Sterling Express Lift on mid mountain, which gives you access to some of the best runs at Deer Valley. They have complimentary ski storage overnight. When you get back from a long day of skiing, they offer free hot chocolate and cookies for apres ski, or you can grab a cocktail and some delicious appetizers at their bar. You can then head upstairs to the fourth floor to warm up in their hot tub or sauna.
Our first night, we dined at their restaurant out of convenience, but it was probably the best meal we had all trip. We enjoyed sharing the cheese fondue as we sat next to a toasty fireplace. We then split the wiener schnitzel, which was out of this world.
On other nights, if you wanted to meet friends in park city for a drink or just try one the the other restaurants in town, they offer complimentary cadillac car service through an easy to use (uber-like) app. We never waited more than 10 minutes for a driver to pick us up.
If you want a spa appointment, the front desk is happy to hook you up with an appointment at one of the nearby hotels (Stein Erikson Lodge or St. Regis).
This was by far our best Ski In Ski Out vacation!

Just completed a weekend stay at this beautiful hotel! The customer service is EXCELLENT! The Front Desk staff, Garrett (who helped us with our bags), and the drivers operating the hotel shuttle were all helpful and attentive. We stayed in the lodge part of the property in a spacious room with a large living room, spacious bathroom and balcony with a great view. The socially-distanced live music on Saturday night was a nice surprise! The staff work masks at all times and observed all the social-distance protocols.

I was recently lead staff on a very high-end program at this intimate property; I had the most wonderful experience working with this team and can not recommend them enough for meetings & events. The team was always available, attentive, quick to react and warm and welcoming.
They are constantly cleaning in this hotel, and it is noticeable how well maintained it is. I stayed on the newer more modern side and my colleague stayed in the original 18 rooms, inn style, which is considered more VIP. I think it's a bit personal taste of modern vs traditional. The traditional side rooms seemed much larger than mine, but my room was so well laid out. Incredible closet and drawer space for all the bulky winter clothing. A large humidifier - saving grace. The minibar items were unique. In-room coffee. Bed was so comfortable, and turndown each night left a large bottle of water on the nightstand. The hotel is quite intimate, but can be a bit confusing at first, but after you remember whether you went through the long hallways, you'll have it figured out. Shuttle service was efficient and easy to arrange.
The ski locker area was very nicely appointed with wonderful clean restrooms. The cafe, bar, and restaurant are all very nice and have very interesting menus. The restaurant staff is polished and friendly. The cafe and bar staff is younger and learning, but always tried to meet expectations.
I felt at home in this hotel. I felt like the hotel was there to help us achieve our goals and I wouldn't hesitate to return in a moment.

The Goldener Hirsch has wonderful service , great amenities and easy access to the slopes. All you could ever want for a fantastic ski trip. Each room has its own ski locker to store boots and snow gear and your skis are stored right by the lifts out your back door. The people are so friendly and accommodating. The concierge made all of our reservations and was able to help us adjust and add things last minute. This was our first visit to the Park City area and we will definitely return.

The Goldener Hirsch Resort now offers the Best overall experience in the Silver Lake location. From proximity to the Deer Vally slopes to amazing dining to spacious rooms that mix the best of the new and the old. The new Cafe offered a special European treat every morning. The rustic Inn Dinning offered the best "cheese fondue" and "Wiener Schnitzel" found anywhere ! The GH team from Reception to Dining to Room staff were all incredibly attentive and super efficient. The roof top pool and hot tub were beyond expectations with great views of the mountain and Silver Lake village. Almost forgot, Mother Nature dropped 19" of fresh powder during the stay that made skiing DV the Best part of all !!
