Old school lodge with basic lobby and accommodations. Like a trip back in time! Parking is limited, but we didn't have any problems during our visit. Lifts are within walking distance out the back door, which is a huge advantage.
We chose this property for our recent trip to Park City based on other reviews, the location, and the value. The Chateau is probably the best place to stay for folks who want to be a 5 minute walk from the Park City lifts without paying a fortune for a room. The rooms are clean and in very good conditions. A simple breakfast is included and the staff is wonderful. On our last day we were granted a late check out so we could ski for half of the day and then go back to shower and change. Since our flight was at midnight, we left our luggage in the lobby and spent the rest of the day on Main Street. There are 2 bus stops walking distance from the hotel and you can walk to Main Street in 10 minutes if you like. We will definitely stay there again.
I was very happy with this last minute hotel booking. We were looking for something affordable but with a great location. Which is sometimes a hard combination. The Chateau was he perfect location: 5 minutes walk in our ski boots to Park City mountain and about 10-15 minutes to Main Street. We had a private room with a private bath. There is minimum house keeping (they just change towels), but the room was clean and the bed was comfy. The shower water was a little temperamental and would change from cold to scalding. But that was my only complaint. Also a free breakfast but it is only cereal and bread so we opted to try some local places instead.
This hotel worked out great. We recently spent a long weekend skiing in park city. Less than a five minutes walk to the lifts and 10 minute walk to the historic downtown. As reviews mention this hotel is basic amenities, however clean and comfortable. Hairdryers are at the front desk. Super easy to find parking. All around a great hotel.
Our family stayed in Chateau Apres Lodge for three nights. Walking just about 4 minutes from the Lodge to the lift made our short ski vacation special. The staff was wonderful, very friendly and helpful. The Lodge is family owned and there is a personal touch there, which we really liked.
The rooms are a basic style of the mid 20th century (we found it charming :)), clean and comfortable. If you need something - hairdryer, tooth brush, ets. just ask the front desk. Annette was there for us with a smile and always with a warm welcoming!
We appreciated the simple continental breakfast which was included. It was great to stay in the town, enjoying great restaurants in the evenings and easily getting to local stores.

Just spoke with the owner, but wanted to post here for others who have this question. May is off season for Park City and Chateau Apres closes to booking online rooms and mostly does group booking during these months. Rooms will become available online later this year when the winter season gets closer.
