My mom and I needed to get out of Chittenden County for a night. Came across this lovely inn that was absolutely perfect! The room was adorable with two twin beds and impeccably clean. Our breakfast was so delicious and the cranberry scones were out of this world. Everyone was such a pleasure and we couldn't have been happier with our stay!
My girlfriend, Karen, and I stayed at the Lilac Inn for several days in early October 2020, and we absolutely loved it! ... It was so charming and comfortable and quiet. Every room is unique and wonderful in its own way. Ours had a deluxe mattress, a spectacular fireplace, and a great view of the rear garden and gazebo. ... Also, the breakfasts were unbelievable. We had so much to eat and everything was so delicious! I especially appreciated that there were many different vegan options. ... We also enjoyed the little town of Brandon, and it was so close to lots of great tourist attractions. ... All in all, this was a vacation we will not soon forget. ... Shelly, Tyson, and Ashley took great care of us, and we're hoping to return once a year!
After 6 months of being quarantined, we decided to give VT a try and I'm glad we did. What a beautiful Inn tucked away in Brandon VT, shy of 5 hours from NYC. The entire family made us feel welcomed the minute we arrived. We stayed in one of their suites, which had more than enough room for me, my wife, along with our dog. It had a fireplace that we didn't get to use and a spacious bathroom with dual shower heads. The bed was comfortable as well as the sitting are that could be converted to another sleeping area. Breakfast was included, from omelette and bacon to oatmeal. We were lucky to have their homemade sconces one morning which is enough to get me back for another weekend. Will definitely be back and thank you for the wonderful weekend.
We were touring northern New England in October, and stayed at Lilac Inn for 3 nights. Our room, the dining room, and all the common rooms were beautifully furnished. Our room was clean, bed was comfortable. The breakfasts were wonderful - fresh baked goods to start, then daily choices that included excellent omelettes, pancakes, etc. Hosts were helpful, without being intrusive.
We had one night in Brandon on a cycle tour of Vermont recently. After a long day riding, the Lilac Inn was a very welcome sight, and when we got inside we were very impressed. This is a converted old summer mansion surrounded by gardens, with gracious public rooms, a sweeping staircase. large rooms, amazing eclectic furnishings from around the world, and real character. We had a lovely stay, with comfy beds providing a good sleep, and a lovely breakfast to see us on our way. The host is charming and helpful. Highly recommended
