The innkeepers have thought of everything. Toiletries for forgetful people, a bingo game involving a moose, a pub, a pool table, coffee and tea any time, computer and printer (free wi-fi!), a gift shop, hiking paths, hot tub, towels, books, games, special soft cozy sheets and blankets, even shower caps for pete's sakes! And the breakfast was outstanding. I seriously...

We stayed at the Forty Putney Road B&B for our 30th wedding anniversary. They made us feel at home from the minute we walked in the door. We stayed in the guest cottage and it felt like we were the only ones there. The place is beautiful, the rooms are clean and spacious. When they say gourmet breakfast they really...

This truly is a great place to stay. Amy was an absolutely perfect hostess. She was not only knowledgable, but enthusiastic about the area. We can't think of a thing the inn did not provide for the guests. Including other friendly guests! The quality and presentation of the food was top notch. Daily newspapers in the sitting room. Looking out...

We stayed at the Forty Putney Road in November for our anniversary. We were very impressed with this B&B. We generally don't like to stay and bed and breakfasts because sometimes you don't get enough privacy but this wasn't the case with Forty Putney Road. The room was very comfortable with special touches such as bathrobes, local snacks and ice...

This place is great! You really do feel at home and they have everything an anything you may need :) We stayed in the sun and moon room which was a nice size and very quiet, we had a nice size bathroom with a nice sized tub. Everything you could need is provided in the room. The little touches like...

Stayed at Forty Putney on a two-day cross country skiing trip to Vermont, and I'm sure we'll be back. Like many others who've written reviews for this B&B on Tripadviser, we were impressed with the attention to the small things that make for a very comfortable stay. Without diminishing their importance, we expect congenial hosts; a comfortable room and bed;...

We just spent two days at Forty Putney Road, and got engaged in the beautiful gazebo overlooking the forest and the river. The service was exceptional - in particular the innkeepers' attention to detail. The room was very quiet, spacious, warm (thanks to a great fireplace). The breakfast was delicious! The 2-course gourmet breakfast changes every day, and we loved...

Wanted to treat ourselves to a mini-getaway & couldn't have found a better spot! The room was perfect for us, the walk to town was just what we were hoping to find! The gourmet breakfast was nothing short of amazing, they offer a light option, but why bother! Nothing better than pumpkin pancakes after Thanksgiving! There was a light covering...

Going to this B & B is a way to treat yourself to a thoroughly enjoyable experience. My husband and I just returned from our second visit. The owners, Tim and Amy, are attentive to every detail, including beautiful furnishings in the rooms, a library of DVDs, a well-stocked bar and a gourmet breakfast in the morning. The setting, right...

First of all, I want to comment not only on the bed and breakfast, but the area itself. My boyfriend and I wanted a getaway, like most of us, and decided to go to Vermont; a choice I will never regret. The scenery was nothing but majestic and the people, including the inn hosts, were welcoming and kind. Downtown Brattleboro...
