My husband and I spent one night at the October Country Inn on an inn-to-inn tour in the Green Mountain area at the end of May. The barn-red picturesque inn is located at the bottom of a long green sloping hill that rises to thick forest beyond. Inside the inn is beautifully decorated but comfortable and homey at the same...

My husband and I needed a place to stay while I ran the covered bridge half marathon in Woodstock. We snagged the last room at this place and stayed for 4 nights to make a vacation of it. We were blown away by how much we enjoyed the inn. First, the whole place is spotless. It is the only lodging...

This was our first B&B experience and I am a little worried that it has spoiled us for other B&B we might stay at. Everything was great including the breakfast (talk about food! All assorted breads, muffins, jams, coffee tea, and best of all the scrambled eggs with vermont cheddar & bacon on the side) Chuck and Edie are the greatest of...

October Country Inn was a lovely spot in a good location to access hiking, biking, sightseeing and Long Trail Brewery! Edie and Chuck were great hosts and did a great job with hiking advice and delicious meals and snacks. Our room was cozy and clean and backed up to their well maintained yard and gardens. We even had the opportunity...

We stayed at the inn for 5 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Every morning there was a delicious cooked breakfast with homemade scones. Edie and Chuck helped us plan every day of our visit by advising hiking trails, cycle routes and local attractions. This is a great location to stay, close to Woodstock with plenty and trails close by....

I stayed here with my husband and 2 children. The owners are very nice and friendly. They serve a healthy, delicious breakfast. Our room was large and very comfortable. The living room downstairs had a bunch of games that the kids enjoyed and above the property was a swimming pool. Wish we could have stayed longer!

If you're looking for a comfortable inn with a pool with good access to Woodstock, the October Country Inn may be the place. Many cyclists and hikers stay here. Both Edie and Chuck were very helpful hosts as Edie is a former cyclist guide and Chuck knows the hiking trails. We loved our blue and white room under the eaves...

This place is a slice of pure heaven. The hospitality is perfect, the homemade bread and breakfast is delicious besides the cookie jar is filled with homemade chocolate chip cookies. Nothing could be finer than staying here!!! The swimming pool looked inviting even though it was a chilly day. Look forward to relaxing in the hammock with a good book...

Edie and Chuck have created a wonderful spot to relax and recharge. The inn is extremely comfortable with a BEAUTIFUL garden. Our girls loved the swing and later, our family enjoyed taking advantage of the incredible collection of board games. After selecting our favorite mug for coffee and tea, a delicious breakfast the next morning set us on our way....

We booked October Country Inn for a short bicycling get away June 2014. The inn is cozy and well appointed with lovely common spaces and beautiful grounds. (Should have brought our bathing suits for the pool!) The breakfasts were lovely with the best scones! But what made our trip was the great advice from Edie and Chuck. Edie suggested great...
