Detailed Reviews
The Pointe has everything you need for a VT trip. We went for 3 nights starting on Christmas. We enjoyed the holiday dinner in the historic property up the hill as well as the great food for breakfast each of the mornings. The king suite was spacious for our family of three with all the amenties we needed - full kitchen, washer/dryer, pullout sofa, and the cozy fireplace! The location is close to the main Okemo mountain and straight shot to all of the area restaurants. It's not the cheapest place, but the quality makes up for it.

We spent a night here on our Vermont ski getaway trip and were very impressed! The hotel is right on the highway down from the Okemo ski resort, a very convenient location. The large parking lot is easy to maneuver. All staff were friendly and efficient. The entire property is very clean and well kept up.
Our king bed room with sofa was very large, spacious and comfortable. The lobby is wonderful-- a large sitting area with a roaring fire and extremely soft sofas. Although we did not partake, the swimming pool and hot tub were very popular with the many families staying here. We did go up to the Castle for a luxury gourmet dinner, but unfortunately there is nowhere on site in the hotel to eat breakfast or lunch. Overall this was an extremely relaxing stay, and we would happily return the next time we are in the area!

We were surprised and thrilled with the quality of our rooms at this wonderful, hidden treasure of a hotel. The suites are especially excellent, and the standard rooms are also nice. What I particularly appreciated were the fine details included in the rooms: artwork painted by real local artists, genuine antiques, velvet and cedar lined drawers, damask sheets, and quality kitchen utensils and equipment. The floors are clean, the halls are quiet, and the rooms are spacious. The staff is friendly and accommodating. It's great for families as well as individuals. You can save a lot by bringing your own food. The kitchen is terrific and cooking in it is a joyful experience.
We loved it so much that we plan on coming to stay there again as soon as we are able, and for more nights. The Pointe Inn exceed expectations for its modest price. Go for it!
Our only regret was having to leave!

Beware Covid and checkout scam! We booked a suite for one week and paid in full ahead of time. We arrived to find out that there is NO CLEANING service, and other than a sponge, NO cleaning supplies. Nothing was mentioned in the emails or website. Covid was given as the reason - so okay. Then, I noticed that the hotel didn't give the cleaning staff any masks, they had to bring their own. Then, I find out that the fancy resort that shares the property and cleaning staff is getting cleaning service!! I ask the cleaning mgr who first denies (says the resort guests were lying or playing a prank on me), then finally confirms that they can't find enough staff to clean all the rooms so the fancy resort gets priority. So, it wasn't Covid at all. That was the first scam. The second was when I was presented with a bill of almost $200 at checkout. I had NO room charges, so I called to contest, showing that I had paid in full in advance. "Oh no, you didn't pay in full - they didn't ask you for the full amount!" Luckily, I had the email confirmation of the prices, and finally the staff relented. So, check your bills carefully.
It's a shame because the suite was nice (bring some kitchen stuff like pans and a Fire TV for the cable). And while you can't use the grounds per se, you can visit the library at the castle for happy hour. It is beautiful and the drinks are reasonable. Also, the indoor pool and jacuzzi were clean, though very high chlorine. This could have been a very nice place.

It was just one night stay on a motorcycle trip.
We weren't there in ski season so things were very quiet. The location was a bit isolated for us and the restaurant in walking distance was closed even though shown as open on Google. We should have asked. Kudos to Singleton's Grocery who bailed us out at almost closing time with a great sandwich.
The room was clean, and comfortable but nothing special. Not disappointing, not impressive.
The rate was certainly reasonble and the staff were all great.

This hotel is in a very convenient location if you’re going to Okemo. The property is outdated and we think it is overpriced for the amenities you receive, but honestly every hotel in Ludlow is overpriced. The rooms have awful soundproofing, and the sleeper sofa was so uncomfortable that our kid refused to sleep on it. The pool are was a nice addition for kids, but there were not enough chairs or areas to put towels. The hot tub was also over frothing with chlorine. We may stay here again given the proximity to okemo, but we will temper our expectations.

Check in was pleasant and efficient. I was informed at check in that the room would not be serviced during my stay, but that if I required extra towels or other amenities I could contact the front desk. I'm assuming this is the new standard due to lack of housekeeping staff. Would have been nice if they offered me a reduction in price for the inconvenience. The room was clean, though, as expected. But the tv could not be programmed to show a guide and the air conditioning never reached 72 degrees. The pool area was clean and pleasant, as were the exercise room and business area. However, the exit door at the end of my hall could not be locked (latch was broken).

This hotel exceeded my expectations. It was clean, and service was good. Daily housekeeping was not being done due to Covid, but if I wanted my trash emptied, all I had to do is leave it in the hall outside my door. By the time I opened my door again, it was gone. Same with towels. Old ones left out, replaced with new towels, like magic! Front desk was courteous. The hotel location is close to many attractions. We also had dinner here, as we were with a bus trip. Every dinner was satisfying. I think it comes out of the same kitchen as Castle Hill. Breakfast (included) was so so - monotonous and lukewarm temperature for hot foods. Coffee was good and they had a nice tea selection.

Stayed here over Christmas had a very good experience - we have three little kids so the bunk bed in the room was perfect for us. The hotel was clean, the room was big, and a short drive to Okemo and the town of Ludlow. The pool was great for non-skiing days (and the game room ) and there's a nice sitting area with a fireplace. The only downside was no coffee or breakfast in the lobby.

From my mother:
I would like to commend the front office staff and Brian, the maintenance man, at the Pointe Hotel.
My family and I have been staying at the hotel for many years without any problem. This trip was different. Our little A-frame was broken into and robbed, so we were visiting Vermont, not on vacation, but to assess and repair the damage and make the house winter tight again. My husband has just finished rehab for a triple heart bypass and walks with a cane, and I had cancer surgery a week ago. We were driving our pickup truck, which broke down and was towed to Claremont by AAA.
The front desk staff helped us to problem solve, and Brian drove us to buy some food at the Castle and even advised us of a local car dealership where we could rent an old car. The staff was kind, concerned, and helpful. They were the bright spot under very difficult circumstances.

I stayed there last week and the restaurant was open. Also to pick up. They do have at least some spa services by appointmwnt.
Hi Shakima, the indoor pool at the Pointe Hotel opens at 8AM and closes at 10PM. The outdoor pool at the Castle Spa opens at 8AM and closes at 7:45PM. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Hi Anna K, there are not any outdoor fire-pits at the resort.
There are some rooms, Suites and Condos with gas fireplaces though. Appreciate the question.
