We stayed at the Motel in the Meadow over President’s Day Weekend in February 2006. We were looking for an inexpensive motel, and this place certainly fit the bill. It’s probably the cheapest accommodations you’ll find in the area ($65 - $70 a night). It’s nothing fancy, but it’s spotless and very comfortable. Pat, the owner, is a delight. She serves a continental-style breakfast in the mornings with cereal and delicious muffins. We will definitely stay there again soon!

Stayed here for 2 nights in mid-July. For the price very reasonable. Clean and a mom and pop motel. If you are looking for glitz move on. Very comfortable beds Situated in very picturesque Chester Vermont. Many charming antique stores etc. Close to Vermont Country Store a must see in Weston, about 7 miles away.

We stayed at Motel in the Meadow for nine nights during August. It was the 5th time we've spent a week or more there in the past 2 years. The rooms are small but clean and the location and price are excellent! We stay in an efficiency which has a stove, refrigerator, and microwave,The owner,Pat, and her brother Doug are good people and great hosts. We travel with our cairn terrier and he is a welcome guest at no extra charge.I would recommend Motel in the Meadow to anyone traveling with a pet and looking for a nice, inexpensive place to stay.

Shortly before my trip I got a phone call from the owner that she canceled my reservation because we had only booked one night and she refused to honor our reservation due to that. When I asked her why this was not informed to me when I booked the stay her response was condescending and rude. The excuse she gave was that it was due to COVID-19. If she was accepting other reservations she should have accepted ours and not discriminate against us because we only booked one night. She canceled shortly before our trip which means we had no place to stay. This facility is not a place you can count on.

For what it is, it is ok. One of the beds was terrible. No phone, no wifi, ancient tv.... But it is just a super basic place to stay on the cheap. It was quite clean. Good mid point for okemo and bromley access. No microwave, did have little fridge

This motel is on the dated side. It's a basic place with no frills but is very clean and the rooms have a nice view of the meadow. The owners are helpful and friendly. They also have coffee, muffins and cereal in the office area for breakfast.

We actually did not stay at this motel. Due to a mix up in travel plans, we were stranded in VT at 10:30 at night with no place to stay. Motel in the Meadow was full, but the owner greeted us in her pajamas, was kind and friendly, gave us a listing of other hotels in the area and allowed us to use her phone. If she is this accommodating to non-paying strangers, she must be wonderful to her guests. I am writing this review as a thank you to her help and kindness.

We needed a room for a couple of nights with our dog and opted for a room with kitchenette. It was very clean and comfortable and a large field in back for the dog to run. It wasn't fancy but perfect for what we us and we highly recommend the Motel in the Meadow and would gladly stay there again.

We stayed here based on TA reviews.

The hotel is located on the outskirts of town. It is a family run hotel. The double room we rented was small but adequate and clean. The lobby area includes a small gift shop with a lot of local kitsch.

The owners were very helpful in recommending restaurants. There was an included breakfast which included fresh muffins and pastries.

Motel in the Meadow is truly a throw back, meaning it's simply an old school motel like the one I stayed in as a kid traveling with Mom & Dad 40 years ago. Clean, neat, organized rooms, no modern day brass and glass, just a comfortable bed, and a hot shower. SIMPLE yet it works. We arrived late (~10 p.m.) and had called ahead to let the inkeepers know. They told us the key would be under the mat in front of the door, and we could check in in the morning. Total VT trusting, genuine people.

The main lobby has a small offering of cold ceral, a couple of baked muffins, coffee or juice to get you started.....at 7 a.m.

This was our second stay at the Motel in the Meadows and we'd stay again next time in Chester.
