Travel Dates: Apr. 27-28, 2021 (Tues. to Wed.) Length/Type: 1-night, business trip Overall Experience: Good Good Points: Pleasant, welcoming staff Comfortable bed Multiple charging stations throughout the room Free hot breakfast Good rate ($99/room/night) Bad Points: Malfunctioning TV in-room Sliding door to bathroom was stiff In-room bathroom General Overview: My colleague and I stayed at this hotel on our return drive home (we were conducting business in Holyoke, MA). The woman that checked us in at the front desk was very warm and welcoming. Unlike our previous stay at the Hampton Inn (located in Chicopee, MA), this place offers free breakfast. However, because of the on-going COVID-19 pandemic, a woman now serves you from the hot buffet (a variety of cheese omelettes, potatoes and sausages), all of which were very good. A nice change, considering the previous hotel we stayed at (a different Hampton Inn, located in Chicopee, MA) had no buffet whatsoever. My theory is the different state laws in relation to the restrictions because of the pandemic. The Room: As always, the place was clean and the bed was comfortable. But even for a one-night stay, I was still a bit disappointed with the room. I couldn’t watch TV because it didn’t work properly (the picture kept flickering, no matter what channel I selected). The sliding door to the bathroom was stiff and difficult to move. In addition, the bathtub filled up with water whenever I took a shower even though the drain was fully open. To make matters worse, the handicapped handrail for the shower, along with the soap dish, were very poorly placed. I repeatedly banged my left elbow and knee into the bar/soap dish every time I took a shower (very annoying!). That, or the bathtub was a tad too narrow. The toilet paper dispenser dis-lodged itself and fell to floor each time you lightly pulled at it just for 2 sheets of toilet paper. The counter was alright (very narrow, but I do like the slide-out shelves for extra space). But because it was narrow, I felt my face was just a little too close to the mirror. Compared to the broken TV and blocked drain in the bathtub, the narrow counter in the bathroom was the least of my worries and merely an observation. Advice to those interested: - This hotel is located just off I-89, perfect if you’re heading along the Interstate at night and quickly need a place to sleep.…
Very friendly staff, clean., close by .. amazing location. Comfortable, great breakfast , helpful people. Definitely would love to come back and stay again. Wonderful time and definitely enjoyable. Hope to be back
... hotel. Room was quite clean if not a littlevdated - only slightly though. Like I said adequate enough. Location is great to get to everything Burlington has to offer, whatever that may be in the winter time. Small box little breakfast was given. What a good price using Hilton Honors app. Military family rate is always the cheapest. So I got no complaints about this hotel except I wish the employees here would wear their masks correctly. A Shaws Supermarket is real close by.
We were staying for two nights and let me say the room was clean. However, the carpet was stained in the room and hallway and furniture was a bit beaten up. The price was decent, and we usually stay in Hampton Inn's wherever we go due to the usually well appointed rooms. The staff was nice, no complaints there. It is very convenient to all attractions and the University. There were many people there and it was still quiet and rooms were sealed on doorway after they were cleaned, which is important. They practiced social distancing with their rooms and no one was on top of anyone. The rooms leave much to be desired, but as I said they were clean and bed was comfortable. New furniture and carpeting is in order.
Stayed for 2 nights in mid October. Room was clean, had a fridge and microwave. The bed was comfortable. They serve a hot breakfast on weekends but Monday thru Friday it is a grab and go bag. The staff were super friendly. Great base for exploring Lake Champlain. Our only niggle was the barn style sliding door for the bathroom. It didn't close all the way and would sometimes slide open on you. Other than that we recommend.
