We just spent two nights in this immaculate inn and couldn't have asked for a nicer experience. It's extremely clean, artfully decorated, and our room (The Library Room) was completely comfortable: soft sheets, comfortable reading chairs and lights, windows opening on three sides of the house, and even night lights--a small but important safety detail that most hotels and B&B's...

We had one night in the Library Room which is large, attractive and comfortable. The room is just off the kitchen/entrance area and even very quiet sounds travel very clearly, from our hosts almost whispered talk in kitchen and from our ensuite bathroom. Breakfast was a small serve of pineapple with a few raspberries, scrambled egg on half a croissant...

I am so sorry you chose not to give us a higher rating. Our breakfasts and more than satisfying to most of our guests. The Croissants are very large and therefore we cut them in half, since after 15 years of experience we learn that most guests don't eat the other half and we then have to throw the wasted...

We only had one night but it was well worth it. We stayed in the Wyoming room with a great view of the lawn and lake. Joe was very nice to meet and he gave us the tour of the property and room. The room was very private away from the main house. The only thing we would have liked...

We stayed here for 2 nights in fall of 2013 after reading many of these reviews. I hesitated to write this review bec I see how Mo responds defensively to even gently couched negatives in reviews, but here it is. This was the oddest & most uncomfortable B&B experience we've ever had, and we've had many. Much like a few...

I am sorry you did not have a pleasant experience in our inn. We have been voted Twice by Yankee Magazine as one of the best places to stay in the Northeast Kingdom. If you had any concerns we would have loved for you to voice them to us rather than be so negative in your review. We strive to...

My husband and I had planned on spending 4 days at the Inn in August. We had selected the Wyoming room because it had a view of the lake. We weren't told that it was close to Route 5 and we found the traffic noisy all night long. We also found the lake shallow, muddy and full of weeds. We...

We are so sorry to hear that you were unhappy with your stay. We strive to make certain all of our guests are comfortable and happy. If you had any concerns we would have addressed them while you were here. Unfortunately, during our drought, the lake had some weeds near the edge but once you get away from the shoreline...

My wife & I had a great stay at Lake Salem Inn. It was a great experience from booking to departure. Mo & Joe were gracious hosts. Their home & property on Lake Salem was as beautiful as it was relaxing. We kayaked for miles down the lake, connecting ponds and the Clyde River. Each evening we sipped cocktails on...

We visited Lake Salem Inn so we could spend the weekend with very good friends who live in the area. The Inn is beautiful and we felt very much at home. Mo and Joe are very geniune people, easy to talk to and down to earth. No pretense here. We had a lovely dinner at the Inn cooked by Mo...

We just returned home from a week at Lake Salem Inn. We would definitely return - the accommodations were lovely & comfortable, the breakfasts were wholesome & delicious, and Joe and Mo were gracious and accomodating. We wanted to explore the Eastern Townships of Quebec and found this to be the perfect springboard for that. We also spent a day...

The inn is picturesque, nestling back against the road with the lake in view. The owners were very sweet, taking time to help us find a place for dinner and making us feel welcome. The home itself, is drop-dead gorgeous, and I wish we got to see what the grounds looked like - but we were up for only one day...
