My wife and I spent three nights enjoying the hospitality of innkeeper Marybeth Heartfield at the Cornucopia B&B. The facility is charming, spotless, comfortable and the breakfasts delicious. We were treated as special guests with local knowledge and recommendations shared, and reservations made. Good shopping in nearby Manchester and a selection of very good restaurants in Dorset and surrounding area.... More

We spent the weekend at the Cornucopia while attending a wedding in Dorset. Came highly recommended by a friend, and it was fabulous. Right in the heart of Dorset. Some B&Bs tend to be a bit run-down and "creaky" - not this one. A lovely home with all the amenities. Great breakfasts served by our wonderful hostess, Mary Beth. We... More

Recommended by a friend whose daughter's wedding we were going to attend, Cornucopia exceeded even our high expectations. Innkeeper Marybeth Heartfield has created a warm environment in which she lavishes lots of TLC on her guests. Each well-equiped, tastefully decorated room has everything that one might need for a comfortable stay. In addition to locating her inn smack in the... More

This place feels like your best worn jeans. Marybeth is a wonderful host, and her country breakfasts will get you off to a good start. We stayed in the Green Room, very large, clean and comfortable. Downstairs are several rooms with fireplaces and walls of books, as well as a gorgeous sunroom to relax in. There is also a small... More

Marybeth is so welcoming and her accommodations are so comfortable and relaxing that we felt like we were staying with a good friend, even though we were only there two nights. I would recommend this charming B&B to anyone who is traveling to Dorset or nearby Manchester as an alternative to the pricey hotels.

I wish I had more time to stay at the Cornucopia! The only thing better than MaryBeth's cooking is her company. She makes you feel so welcome and at home from the minute you knock on the door. I can't say enough nice things about Marybeth and her B&B. It is clean, quaint, comfortable...exactly what you're looking for in Dorset,... More

We stayed five nights here and completely enjoyed it. You are situated near four restaurants that we tried and all were very good. One, the Dorset Inn, was excellent. You can easily walk to these restaurants or it's very short drive. Yes, the Cornucopia is kept very clean and is decorated in a warm intimate manner. However, the best part... More

Had a wonderful stay here, room was large, clean and quiet--also had use of the rest of the house, lounge and reading room. The owner, MaryBeth was so nice and so helpful. I was there for my son's wedding and was extremely busy, she offered to help do chores for me! I also must mention that she is a very... More

This is a must stay if you like bed and breakfast. The innkeeper Marybeth is wonderful and makes you feel welcome from the very first minute you walk through the door. The rooms are fantastic, clean and so comfortable. The most impressive of all is the breakfast prepared each morning, as the food was great. This was my second stay... More

It was the first week end of August and we wanted to take a quick vacation. We have stayed many places in Vermont, Burlington, Weston, Peru, Manchester, Killington, both during the Summer and Fall, and during the Winter. We decided we would try Dorset this time.
