Attended a wedding here and it was beautiful! Has the oldest tree in Vermont and a big tent was set up for the wedding. Not sure if you can stay here normally but if you can do because it is so beautiful!! Although all music has to be off by 10pm that's somethings to keep in mind if your planning...

I was just here for a wedding, and it was fabulous. Beautiful, tucked-in spot. Gorgeous building and grounds. Staff was pleasant. Only downside was that there was only one bathroom (at least to my knowledge).

If you are thinking about having your wedding at the Sumner Mansion, look no further! After looking at many wonderful venues in Vermont, we decided on the Sumner Mansion Inn and have absolutely no regrets about it! Setting: Even though the Mansion is in the middle of downtown Hartland, it is up on a hill and feels secluded. When you...

Ken Lucci, owner of the Sumner Mansion, went above and beyond in putting together a fairy tale wedding for me in late September. The grounds and mansion are gorgeous (it didn't hurt that the weather was in the low 70s), and Ken made sure that the venue looked stunning and the guests were happy! It's been such a pleasure working...

We couldn't have been more pleased with the way our August 2014 wedding turned out at Sumner Mansion Inn. Here is what really made a difference for us: 1. Ken always got back to us quickly to answer our questions, and he was really good with communication and follow up. You can tell that he is really experienced with events...

We stayed at the Inn this past weekend and had the most amazing experience. The property was simply stunning inside and out! Ken and Bentley were great hosts and made sure we felt at home. Hearing the history of the house and the surrounding area was so educational. I would recommend this place to anyone having a special event such...

Had our Daughters Baby Shower here and cannot wait for another event so Ken Lucci can accommodate us once again. He took great care of our 50 guests without question and was prompt with everything I asked of him. And Bently his co-host was a definite help as well! Thank you Ken Lucci, Sumners Mansion Inn. Sincerely, Penny Shambo.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Under new management as of June 2014 and totally renovated. Quintessential Vermont B&B Bed and Breakfast. Great wedding venue and also for family reunions, Dartmouth accommodations and class reunions, retreats, workshops and other functions. It is possible to rent the entire house. We have the most beautiful gardens and a huge sugar maple on the grounds to get married beneath. Our dining capacity is larger than most restaurants in the area. ... more   less
