My girlfriend and I just had a wonderful long weekend at Windekind Farm. We stayed in the Breidablick house. It was absolutely perfect for us and our dog.The property was absolutely amazing, perfect location - close enough to things that it wasn't a hassle to run out and get anything you may have forgot, removed enough where you felt you...

We rented the Campunela home and there were three adults and two children ages 3 and 5. Upon arrival I noticed there was no shower curtain so I had to call for that. None of the smoke detectors were hooked up either. Second night there it was 8 degrees outside and the temp in the house was 50 degrees upon...

Whoops! Thank you for the nudge, although challenging and sometimes painful, it is always helpful to learn about our shortcomings. However, I will remind our review readers that this is the first less then excellent review in well over three years. We did run out of fuel and the heat was off for about four hours, this happened because of...

Do you know what it feels like to getaway from it all? I mean to be so inspired by a place that it allows you to really getaway from it all. When you forget that last email stream from work, or where you left off binge watching the latest Netflix series. Did I call my mother on Friday? Who’s feeding...

What a truly lovely spot to spend a few days at the end of a road, gazing at open fields (with a charming little Jersey cow herd), watching the sunshine on the mountains, listening to the sounds of nature. We stayed in Campanula whose huge wrap-around porch was a favorite with our little granddaughter, our dog, and us. Mark and...

Magnificent piece of heaven in Vermont. In Huntington for youngest sons wedding. Eight children 15 grandchildren all experienced the beauty and majesty of the farm. With Burlington 20 minutes away for those who love to visit the city, the wedding was beautiful at sleepy hollow inn, just a few miles away from the farm. We had our hiking trails, walks...

Thank you Pam and Steve, Yes indeed you had very festive family event that we felt almost part of. We are delighted that the wedding went so well and then you had so much opportunity to gather here as a family-- in many respects that is what Windekind is created for. Yes-Yes--please come again with or without a wedding event....

We stayed in Breidablick Cottage from Thursday - Monday the weekend of our son's wedding (6/2-6/16) This was the perfect place to be. The quiet beauty of the grounds and the mountain vistas, trails, gardens and meadows calmed us. As we returned late nightly, the peace and beauty of the area gave us the rest and refreshment necessary to get...

We had a nice 2 days at Windekind last week. We stayed in the Breidablick cottage. The location of the farm & rental cabins is very secluded. The cottage itself is very spacious, could easily fit another person with the futon couch downstairs. The kitchen was well-stocked with pans/silverware & cups/plates. We cooked all our meals there. There is a...

I rented the studio from Mark and Marijke last winter. They are kind, generous and intelligent people. The studio was well-equipped and the heating was good. The dog, Elsie, is very people-friendly. The area is tremendous in that the Camel's Hump mountain is right there. Also, there is Richmond, which is a great town, and the under-rated Hinesburg. A bit...

My husband and I stayed at Windekind this past week and had a private wedding ceremony on the grounds of the Farm. We were both completely blown away by the beauty and tranquility of this very special place. I felt like we'd stepped into a Disney movie or a fairy tale! We both joked that we wouldn't have been surprised...

This was our second stay. Both were great country retreats, with wonderful vistas of the Vermont countryside and Green Mountains. Our first stay was during summer 2015 when the well-tended perennial gardens were in full bloom, and we could walk through the woods on the miles of adjacent trails. Our second stay was Valentine's weekend 2016 and equally lovely. With...

“There are only 3 cottages. I liked ours overall; one of them is a cottage right above the barn, so you'd be really close to owners.”
